Driver side wiper was acting strange. Seems the re was a crack in the base were it mounts to the Jeep. Came quickly and was a perfect fit. Should have bought a pair and updated the passenger one as well.

Dorman Mighty Clear 42591 does not work with 2004 Jeep Wrangler (and quite possibly other TJ's) as indicated here by Amazon and by Dorman. The problem lies with the retention clips meant to lock the wiper arm to the splined drum on the vehicle. The OEM Wiper arm has the retention clip oriented upwards and the Dorman part has it oriented downwards. This difference is not a problem on the driver side, however when it comes to the passenger side The wiper arm retention clip will scrape the hood during installation. Even if you can manage to install the wiper arm on the passenger side I would be very concerned that if the clip came loose and you turned the wipers on it would continuously gouge the hood and cause damage.Another problem with this part is that the splines do not match with the drums on the vehicle very well, this probably has to do more with manufacturing tolerances not being very tight at the factory these are manufactured at.Dorman support confirmed the design is different then the OEM Wiper arm and would not authorize a return, hence the 1 Star review.TLDR: Save yourself a headache and buy the OEM Wiper Arms to replace your current ones.

Broke the splines off my old wiper arm. This new arm fit perfectly and appears to have better tension on the windshield than the worn 14 year old OEM wiper arm had.
