It's a good, heavy, strong balancer, but it is 8", not 6.75", so make sure you have the right timing tag or timing cover.

I built an engine for a hobby vehicle and installed this Dorman balancer, so it's been a four year process. I just got it running the other day and the outer section of the balancer is crookeder than a dogs back leg! Frustrating!

Normall don't write reviews, but replaced the stock balancer on a rebuilt 76 350 with this and smoothed out engine vibration. Old balancer looked perfectly ok, but timing light revealed it was not ok. Would definitely buy again.

Would have returned but it was painted before installation. Have to bore the hole out another thou or two to be on size. Currently it's an interface fit. Would have expected Dorman to be a quality product.

A very good fit for my 1991 R3500 Cheyenne 5.7L. It does not come with any paint applied on the part. I wish it came painted black. But I understand not everyone wants their balancer an OEM black. The quality of the part appears to be an exact OEM relacement. I also ordered a Harmonic Balancer Installer which made the installation smooth. I do not recommend using the harmonic balancer bolt that came off the original part to install the balancer. Nor do I recommend hammering it on as this could cause damage to main thrust bearing. It is better to use an installer kit from a parts store that has a tool loan program or to purchase a tool.
