I've been an ASE Certified Master Tech since 1995 and have used Dorman products hundreds of times. They have been a reliable source of aftermarket parts over the years. However, I must warn others about my experience with this harmonic balancer. As you can see in my picture, the bolt hole that is used to REMOVE the balancer is in a spot where you can not screw a puller bolt in. It is partially blocked by one of the inner spokes on the hub. If you install this balancer, you will not be able to remove it again very easily. I checked this BEFORE I installed it. I ended up grinding a small section of the spoke (marked in yellow) to allow a bolt to screw in. Also, be aware that you might have to do a crank sensor "relearn" which can only be done with a scan tool. This is because the sensor trigger wheels are not installed on the new balancer correctly. To avoid doing the crank relearn, you can compare where the trigger ring positions to your old balancer. If the new balancer rings are off slightly, loosen the two bolts and move them to the exact position just like on your old balancer. That's what I had to do.

Is this a joke? I have to remove the balancer to install a cam and there are not holes for the harmonic balancer removing tool to even bolt to inside like the factory one. How am i supposed to remove this thing? Im beyond pissed off and this is one thing that was not supposed to happen. The only way to even remove this thing now is to ruin it with a 3 jaw puller? This product is an absolute mistake and should not be aold anymore until this is corrected. At this point id rather send the thing back and get my money back, highly disssapointed in this product.

My mechanic wanted almost $300 for this part. And this was after he had already absorbed close to $600 in his "trial and error" method of replacing parts until finding the problem. Needless to say, I won't be using that mechanic again, but I will come back here for parts in the future!
