Appears to be a genuine Mopar part. Literally was plug and play on my 2016 Ram 1500 Hemi with 110k miles. I could not be happier, especially given the 1/3 cost compared to others. I have a 2016 ram outdoorsman. Based on all the research I did. it was going to have to be flashed by the dealership. But I plugged it in put my key in the ignition and Everything works as it should now.

I bought this for my 2017 Ram 1500 Bighorn. I thought my ignition switch needed to be replaced, turns out it was just the battery. It is exactly the same as the original ignition switch. It was 100$ cheaper than the automotive store. I returned it because it wasn't what I needed but it definitely was the right replacement piece if ever I do need to replace the ignition switch. Return was easy, no fuss.

2017 RAM1500 3.6lI had an issue where I would pull the key out of the ignition and the truck wouldn't shut off. Electronics would stop, but the engine would keep running and the radiator fan would begin to increase in speed. To get it to shut off worst case scenario I would pull the fuel pump fuse and let it die out. It never came to that, but It did turn off after driving around and parking back at my destination (I would drive for about 10 minutes). I talked to a MOPAR tech at the local dealership and they said it sounded like it was an ignition switch but of course wanted to charge me in the window of $600 for everything to guarantee a fix (This was a ballpark estimate I requested over the phone). I then talked to a buddy who also said it sounded like it was this ignition switch failing. A third source determined the same thing.This was super easy to install, two screws down near the gas and brake pedals. The panel pulls out (Be gentle but firm). Then 4 Torx screws to pull the switch, one connector in the back. Replace with this Dorman one. and put it back the way you found it.I called a locksmith to come out and program my keys to the new ignition switch. But it turned out I didn't need any programming. (I cant promise your vehicle will be the same).This review has been written the day of install. If any problems arise I will contact the appropriate people and update this on what the resolution was.Thanks Dorman

The product description states it's a dorman product. But upon arrival it was in a factory Chrysler case. Not sure if new or remanufactured.
