Good part at a good price. It is dimensionally identical to the OEM parts and fit well. However, the indent on the side where the wire clips is not molded deep enough and the latch will not secure the wires as is. I used an exacto knife to remove a square of plastic from this area and that allowed the clip to latch and function properly. So far it's is functioning as it should and heat now works again. Make sure you examine all the actuators in your car, I had to replace two of these for heat to work properly.

This part saved me $3,000 after the car I bought, I was told by previous owner it was the compressor but once I realized I didn’t have heat either I knew this was most likely the issue. Now I get to drive the beautiful streets of Maui with nice cold A/C

Don't not buy this item or any Doman product. They simply don't not work. It is the second Dorman item that didn't work. I purchased this to fix my Saturn sky heating issue but it didn't work. I had to buy GM Original Equipment for this issue to get resolved. I am out of Amazon return windows and I can't return this. So don't by this item. Get one GM oe item.

Air mixture cannot blow hot air. After the actuator replacement all works great right away.

This was a fairly easy fix and got my heater working perfectly again in my H3 Hummer. There are two of these units under the dash. By having someone else cycle through the different settings of my heater/AC while I had my head under the dash, I could see that one of them was not moving. So I used the three screws to replace it. It was quite a tight fit of my head and body under the dash but it could be done. I would guess if you took the vehicle in they would remove the dash which is always a problem because something invariable starts rattling after they put it back. Also it would be vastly more expensive than a D.I.Y. job like this. I was worried about lining up the device with the receptacle but as it turns out this is a non-issue so do not worry about it. Just fit it together and then turn the device until the screw holes line up.

I ordered 2, but only needed to replace one of several under the drivers side dash near the center. Located the defective one (clicking) and replaced it in about 5 minutes (3 screws - only fits one way). Hardest part was just getting to it even with the seat all the way back. Remember to calibrate immediately after installation. The problem we had was when you turned the temp to cold we would hear a clicking sound, but heat still came out - fixed now.
