I almost think that I was the first person to remove these nuts on a 2000 Ford Focus with 120,000mi. There was still plenty of meat on the shoes to, they must have stopped working in 2002-2003 I'd guess. She stops great now, just going to have to keep exercising them. My torque wrench only went to 150ft-lbs, so I rented one, bolt didn't move, I just leaned on it a little harder and she clicked. Just remember to spin the rotor as you turn down the new nut so they seat correctly. I know I was the first in there because the original nuts were on there and the bearings were still good, they usually don't get installed or torqued correctly and are shot. Now we'll have to see if I eat my words.

Bought them to replace originals during brake job. They are supposedly one time use. These were slightly looser than the ones I took off, but not sure that matters once torqued.
