Exact fit zero issues. It includes everything you need even the upper and lower injector o-rings.I read about people having an issue with the gasket or flashing on the part but experienced none of these issues. If it doesn’t come with instructions look up the part number on Dormans website.

First of all the PCV Valve would not fit n broke when I tried using to hands to push n turn it...2ndly the valve that goes on the lower mount did not fit...had to use a stone to file it fown around the outside to make it fit. It hasnt leaked yet, but havent drivent it to far yet

I think I like this. The set was very complete with gaskets for the injectors and a new pcv valve etc. This is a good choice but I will list the negatives for you to weighCONS: 1st-and most important is that mine cracked at bolt number 7 when I applied the final torque. Notice that I am at this time blaming the torque wrench that I bought particularly for this job NOT THE PART so I only list this for your consideration when doing this job to be careful. Replacement cost me $104 with a 20% discount in a nearby town!2nd: They tell you to replace the egr tube that rises vertically out of the lower manifold. It is a little tough to get out but then they tell you to GENTLY tap in the thick end of the appropriate new tube (two different sizes supplied). Gently my bootie! I banged and banged metal on metal. When it wen it was alway sideways. I used a piece of pine board between the hammer and the tube as a buffer to really hit it. I gave up and went metal to metal all the time wondering what I would do if the tube shattered in that hole? I also heated the hole with a torch. Heat MAY have helped but I destroyed that board. BTW they want you to use red loctite on this part. It did go in but....3rd: The instructions are pretty weak and not laid out well on paper. I suggest you look at ALL of the various instructional videos on you tube. Everybody has a little something to contribute.4th. They say to replace the vent tube on the back of the part. They supply the new vent but the small tube coming out of the top of this part is capped on my car. The new one did not supply a cap and the old cap was hard plastic and shattered when I tried to remove it. The apparent gasket for this vent is a loose fit. I don't know if that matters or not..So that is a lot but really I think this is a very complete kit and a good deal.

**Beware of the LLT warranty on Dorman parts, read on further. I bought this exact part in 2009 from Amazon for my 1997 Park Ave 3.8L. This Dorman part, as many Dorman parts, have a LLT warranty so I purchased the Dorman product from Amazon. Now it's 2011 & 10000 miles later & my mechanic tells me the Dorman part has failed that's why I have coolant in my #6 cyl, etc. Believing I had a LLT warranty from Dorman, I called Dorman @ 800-523-2492 and their Customer Service Department tells me since I bought it from Amazon that I have to go through Amazon to get the part replaced and they won't handle getting me my replacement per their LLT warranty policy. So I call Amazon & they said that the replacement return period of thirty (30) days had expired & I needed to handle the return directly with Dorman. I told them that Dorman wouldn't do anything with the LLT warranty since I bought it from Amazon. I believe Dorman should have done the exchange, but they were very adamant even when Amazon's Customer Service Rep called them about getting the part replaced under Dorman's own LLT warranty. Amazon ended up crediting my account but I had to buy another one costing more. If I could split the star rating, I would give Amazon a "3 star rating" and Dorman a "1 star rating" on how this product is handled if there is a warranty issue for a part failure. I am giving Amazon a "3 star rating" because they were only going to credit my account for $50 instead of the full $65 that the part cost me in 2009. Only after asking for Amazon's Customer Service Rep's supervisor did the Rep credit me back my full purchase price. If I would't have been persistent & stood my grounds, I would have only gotten back their initial offer of $50 to just refund me the money. I believe Amazon as a company should either make Dorman live up to their LLT warranty and exchange the part through Dorman or stop selling the Dorman LLT warranty parts. Why should it matter to Dorman who we buy their parts through? Shame on you Dorman!

If you need to replace your melted intake plenum, use this one. This Dorman item comes with the required gaskets, and also includes a new pcv valve. The price is MUCH lower than any local auto parts store ($130) for the same item. If you plan on swapping this part yourself I would HIGHLY recommend replacing the following items as well:Lower intake manifold gaskets. The factory LIM gasket is made from plastic, it cracks and allows coolant into the combustion chamber. If enough gets in your engine will hydrolock. Every Series 2 3800 engine I have taken apart had cracks in this gasket.Valve cover gaskets. These gaskets leak, when they leak oil comes in contact with the exhaust manifold. Both gaskets run around $12 and are easy to swap when doing the Intake plenum/LIM gasket.Coolant bypass elbows. These are made of plastic and fall apart when removing the Lower Intake Manifold. They are available in the help section of your local auto parts store for around $5Plugs/Wires. If your 3800 has some mileage on it, your wires are more than likely shot.

I had absoultely no problems installing this intake manifold on my 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. It came with all of the necessary gaskets to complete the job and the car runs great! I highly recommend this direct fit product to anyone who is capable and willing to replace their upper intake manifold on their own. It will save you HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS vs. taking it to a repair shop.
