The old line was being chafed by shifter cable till it began leaking !! This new line was a perfect fit !! My only complaint would be that one fitting was 20mm and on the original was 3/4 standard . Had to go purchase a 20mm because most metric wrench sets don’t have that size !!

Other than having one fitting that uses a smaller size wrench than the original, everything fit up just fine. Just be very careful when removing the trans end of the hose. It connects to the transmission via a brass fitting. I got a little forceful in trying to loosen the hose at the fitting and I broke off the brass fitting flush with the transmission case. Luckily I was able to remove the remainder of the fitting with an easy out. Next step is actually finding this fitting which is costly / not generally available via Mopar. Overall, I'm pleased with this hose as it was available at a better price than a factory part. It also has a better availability than a factory part.

I purchased this replacement hose to modify and install a compression style tee fitting to allow a temperature sensor install. After cutting a piece out of the hard line section and dry fitting the fitting, I noticed the hard pipe section looked small in OD. Measuring with the digital calipers I get 0.475" OD roughly for the Dorman vs 0.5" OD of the OEM. My mistake, I should have measured before cutting, that was $70 down the drain. BTW I get roughly 0.387" ID for the Dorman. I haven't modified the OEM line yet to see what the ID is.

Fit my 5.9, 48re just fine. Fittings are a different wrench size than oem. But it fit so I’m happy.

So I ordered this on a Monday, said it would be delivered Wednesday. Ordered a handful of other items I needed as well. The only item they didn't deliver was this one! Second time amazon has done this with an autopart I needed. So vehicle that I expected to be able to drive Thursday for the holiday, I couldn't move at all!This is more a warning. If you are in a rush, consider the local parts store. Think they were $10 more. $10 would have been worth having it prior to the holiday. If not in a rush, no big deal.For the part itself. Have an 05 with the 48re and amazon is determined this part doesn't fit. It is the correct part between the convertor out on the trans to the trans heater on the side of the block.It's not the most fun thing to replace, but wasn't terrible. Took less than an hour. Old hose was leaking at the crimp very badly.

I usually insist on OEM parts, but my budget had me trying this Dorman Dodge Ram 2500 transmision cooler line. And once I inspected it, I was pleased with it's construction. It fit perfectly, and has been in use for a week and a half without issue. So, I recommend this part to those looking for a quality non-stock replacement part.

Perfect fit 2005 Ram 3500, 5.9 Cummins. Great replacement. Beware: The Dodge OEM cooler line use brass adapters at the end to fit into the transmission. I thought I had the wrong part until I realized this. The brass adapters were SO RUSTED I couldn't even tell they were adapters. I had to hit them with the torch a few times to get them to break free.
