This is a complete exhaust manifold kit for a slant six.Pros:All the parts are there for a basic swap of your old exhaust manifold, including the heat riser. Some parts I couldn't find anywhere else, including the new nuts and triangular conical washers.Cons:The gaskets are absolute trash and failed on me within six months. Both gaskets failed.Also, it required a little grinding to fit together with my offenhauser 4 barrel intake manifold. This is not necisarily a problem from production, but could be a customization in order to fit the new intake. Cast iron grinds like butter, so it wasnt hard to do.I would recommend buying this kit, but back it up with a remflex gasket kit for the manifold at the head and also at the flange, for the pipe.

This manifold wasn't identical to the original and I had to come up with several bolts that were different and not provided in the kit. That being said, it did the job and functions perfectly now.

1973 Dodge Dart 225 /6.Pros: glad to find such a complete kit new for a 46 year old car. Wish I could give it more stars.Cons: Quality problems with machining. Exhaust pipe studs supplied were wrong size, smaller than factory. Required drilling and retapping, a difficult job on such a large workpiece in a home drill press. Worse, they were misaligned (twisted) so studs did not line up with the collar on the exhaust pipe. One of the choke well holes was not tapped, and the spacing was off by 1/8” so would not fit my choke even after tapping. In each case, the misalignment overlaps the correct location so you can’t redrill the holes. Extra material on the #1 exhaust flange had to be ground off since it interfered with the thermostat housing. Mold flash near the base of the choke tower made it difficult to reach the nut underneath. I advise checking fitment carefully before any attempt at final installation.

High quality casting.I did file some metal away to facilitate nut placement under choke well,and near rearward facing drilled hole on the manifold to exhaust flange area.Also,the driver's side divorced choke well hole was not tapped (threaded).Use a plug tap,1/4-20.I also used a Remflex gasket,which worked great (I had some pitting on my #1 cylinder head mating area),as opposed to the gasket given in kit.Also,the exhaust flange gasket in kit leaked,so I bought a Felpro,which worked (I had pitting on the exhaust flange surface of my exhaust pipe).I was very happy with the manifold!

I bought this exhaust manifold for my 1970 plymouth slant 6 about a year ago. I have been replacing the factory ones way to many times so I decided to try this one. So far no problems. The factory ones always crack and make noise but this one has worked for about a year now and no cracking or noise. The only thing that is different from the factory is the automatic choke. The factory one does not work on this manifold. Go to carbsonly.com and have them sell yoou the correct electric choke.
