got my beater with a heater back on the road!

This is for a 2wd. 4x4 oem has a slightly wider width at the shackle leaf bushing. ~3/16in. Can easily be made to work if put in a vice and bent outward to match what you took off.That said Amazon has once again proven their vehicle filter is somehow always wrong. Probably 1 out of ever 3 parts I order is incorrect per the listing regardless of vehicle.

I ordered this in a rush with snow approaching for my 1991 F150 4x4 and didn't realize there are several spring thicknesses for the shackle. No time to do exchanges when I realized this is for the thinner 2x4 springs so I installed the mount half and just ordered a seperate 3" shackle.Threw the skinny one in my parts box and moved along.It did fit the other style shackle perfectly.... if you ever end up in the same small mistake, Truck parts are sometimes hard to order right in a hurry.

95 f150 2wd worked good for replacing rotten hangers. Thinner metal than oem but works fine so far

We'll start off with the negative; 2 of the bolts that mount the bracket to the frame broke off when installing. I've never had this happen. Used an impact wrench from harbor freight. I've had it for years and use it all the time. Put the first bolt in. Tightened it down on the lowest setting, then the middle and highest. Snapped off. Didn't want it to come off. Whoops. Put the second one on and just left it on the first setting. That one was fine. 3rd one broke off on the lowest setting like nothing. 4th one was fine. Wouldn't recommend working on this if you need your vehicle and there aren't any stores that sell the right grade bolts. This is the only reason I deducted a star.I have a 1996 Ford F-150, RWD. Both parts in the box were a perfect match. Saw too many reviews and questions because people bought the wrong part.The install... sucked. The first thing I delt with was the bracket that the spring mounted to. Couldn't get that bolt to move at all but the other one came out with the bolt breaker impact.Moved on to the rivets holding the bracket to the frame. This was the easiest part. Angle grinder took them right off, one Harbor Freight wheel was all it took to cut and grind them down flush. Got a bolt and tapped the first one out. It took a little effort though. Then I remembered I had an air hammer. The other 3 came out really quick with that.The worst part of this was getting the bolt out from the spring. I couldn't turn the bolt at all even with a long breaker bar on it. I cut the bolt head off. Still on the same disc from the rivets. Tried hammering, couldn't get it to move. I remembered seeing a review mentioning a ball joint press. I "rented" one from Advance years ago and just kept it because I use it quite often. This was the ticket. Not easy by any means because you have to pry the spring back to get the press between it and the frame. Did this and it made it a lot easier. Not sure how else it would have come out. Cut the nut off on the backside of the spring, new disc required for reach, and it'll make it a lot easier. Push it half way out with the press then you'll probably have to cut it off again because there's no room. After all of this work, there's a sleeve that's stuck in there. Time for a hacksaw. Take the blade off, put it through the hole and reattach it to the saw frame. This was awkward but not too bad. It's not very thick metal so it wasn't too bad. After you get through it, tap a screwdriver between the sleeve and spring and it just bends out.Now that you think you're home free, the next part comes. The new sleeve doesn't just slide in the spring hole. Ball joint press to the rescue. The best part of this was that the hole on the opposite side was the exact diameter of the spring hole. The other side, I had to use a part from the kit that was barely smaller than the rubber part on the front and a piece I cut off the shackle to press it back in. Once it starts in straight, it goes in pretty easy. Impact the whole way and it still took a couple minutes. The ball joint press barely fit the spring width, the sleeve width and the parts to adapt it to push the sleeve. I'm talking not even one thread of engagement. Good luck with that. Pushed it in until it was flush with both sides of the spring. The long bolts were fine and didn't break.A trick I've found for the spring, use a brand name bar clamp. They can be reversed also. I used it against the bottom of the bed and the spring to get the spring to where I could get an impact on the bolt and when I needed to move the spring up, I placed it against the ground and spring. Be careful when you release it though, it is pretty instant. This also makes lining up the hole in the spring with the one in the shackle really easy too.Sorry for the long review but I hope it helps someone. It seems like a good quality part. I'm in Ohio and the salt finally got to my bracket. It had a crack in it and it was really rusted and thin where I couldn't see behind the spring. Not sure how the old one was holding the truck up.

these parts are suppose to fit a 2004 chev. Silverado 4.8 engine 4 door pick up.THEY DON'T.two of the four bolt holes line up, but two DO NOT, but after waiting almost three weeks I needed mytruck back on the road so I drilled two new holes, and feel I should be compensated for having to do this.Thank you very much,Garnett Fraser.
