It already broke off, not sure if it was just a bad and or cheap material but it broke a week later. Easy to install and fit perfect.

A poor replacement for what was already a poorly designed part. Broke right after install on the first latch. Have gone through three now all with the same immediate result. Sorry, one lasted untill it's second latch. I ended up just cutting wooden Dowlings to "lock" the window

This is an item that is going to break sometime. It is plastic just like my OEM was. I have ordered it in the past and worked fine. Last order the part looked to have slight flaw and it broke the 1st time used. When seller was notified, the sent a replacement quickly. Seller/Amazon stood behind there window latch, resulting with happy customer. Thanks.

I just received and installed the window lock on my 89' F-250. The lock is made very cheap and I expect it to break very soon. The screws that came with it are too big and I ended up having to use the original screws that came with it. It locks tight which is a good thing but it locks so tight that its going to be its demise and in the end will snap off. Unfortunately I have not found another lock that will work for the back window so I'm stuck. Good thing it was cheap.

This is a direct fit and works well, The reason for the 3 stars is that it does not last long. It is a plastic hing so it does not last long. I hit mine the wrong way on accident and it now is in the same shape as the other one that I used this one to replace.

I've had a broken rear latch for years. I went to Amazon saw it was a cheap fix and ordered this unit. Comes in cardboard backed plastic packaging with what you see in the pictures, no instructions, no warnings or nothing. Ok, it's not a difficult product to figure out, so I laid it out, saw I would have two pieces left over (I'm assuming for a different make). So I unscrewed the broken old unit. Screwed the new unit on, the screws don't feel smug by the way, they were loose the whole product wiggled, after both pieces were on the window I went to close the latch and snap, the new piece broke on the first bend. I now have two sets of broken window latches. What a joke. Would never recommend.

Do not waste your money on this latch. I bought one to replace the latch that had broken off my 1984 F-150 after nearly 30 years of use. Tried installing the new latch and one of the screws broke in half while running it down with my Porter Cable cordless drill with the torque set at 2. Had to drill a new hole up to 3/16 to get the old screw out, then after filling the bigger hole with JB Stick, re-drilling and installing another screw everything seemed fine. After reading other reviews about the latch breaking, I knew I had to be very careful. Even then, I started slowly pushing the latch down to lock it, and with very little force the plastic snapped. I'm not going to bother returning an item that only costs $5 as it is not worth the trouble, but wanted to write a review to let other people know that you are better off finding a latch in a junkyard.
