After a couple of bent keys and, eventually, a couple months of keeping a screwdriver on hand to open my rear glass/gate, I finally grabbed this replacement.Perfect fit on my first-generation Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, I installed easily in about 15 minutes and both the glass and gate locks function as they did when the car was new, both open easily.This has good quality metal construction, comes with two keys, and for the price it offers a big quality-of-life improvement over looking like a criminal trying to get my groceries into the back of the car.

The Oem shim that slides in to hold the whole part in place, was designed to slide from the right. Well, this Dorman part was designed to slide In from the left. It took way longer to Install than it should of.

Looks and works great, simple install. Had it rekeyed to existing door key without issue. Only complaint is as others have stated, spring seems weaker that oem and does not return all the way to center.

I ordered this part for my brother & when I got the part & receipt It all looked good so i gave it to him & somehow I misplaced the receipt . He opened the package & the keys DO NOT work in this lock. It is totally worthless & without a receipt I know Im just stuck with this part. I have the part in its package but now Im going to have to wait till I get the money to buy another one. Except Ill keep the receipt. It really sucks because my brother is 61 years old & needs to be able to lock his back gate door & no one can steal his things. You cant return a defaulted product without a receipt can you ?
