I drive a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 Liter, Automatic, 4 wheel drive. Trans lines were leaking at the rubber connectors up by the radiator (common issue for this age Jeep). Purchased replacement lines and the Doorman/Needa part #800-610 TRANSMISSION LINE CONNECTOR- 3/8 IN TUBE x 1/4IN-18 NPT online with Amazon back in 2018. I got around to replacing this set of lines back in October of this year. I found that this part did not thread into my transmission like the original and was afraid to strip the threaded hole so after trying for 45 min with no success I purchased a second one from my local Advanced Auto Parts and confirmed this was the exact part for my trans to adapt the lines. Again this part had the same threading issue. All stores were closed so next morning I purchased a Irvin Tools 1/4 inch - 18 NPT die. I tested the die on my original connector and it threaded smoothly. Tested on both replacement connectors and both were not even close I could barely get the tool onto the threads and ended up having to cut the threads with the tool to the proper size. I had two of the same parts purchased almost a year apart from two different retailers and this part was not machined correctly to the specification 1/4IN-18 NPT.

Despite what the Amazon fitment guide says, these fit perfectly on my 1994 Jeep Wrangler (32RH Transmission) and are a great replacement for the stock ones that have those crazy wires clips.
