Easy fix for evap leak code on Envoy. A very small amount of air could be sucked past the original one with the solenoid energized. Adding a thin film of dielectric grease to the o-ring surfaces helps ensure proper assembly.

Easy to replace. Direct replacement/OEM fit. Wear eye protection. You'll really appreciate your eye protection as you enter the underside with the dirt and rust that will fall. Jack up rear passenger side of vehicle and secure vehicle with jack stand. Look up toward top of gas tank to locate solenoid. You'll need to carefully slide it out of the metal bracket and disconnect the electrical connector which is likely secured by a clip. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to aid in clip removal. You will need to transfer the old filter assembly to the new part. Installation in the reverse of removal. Don't forget to clear any codes from your vehicle computer with your scan tool. If you don't have the tool many of the chain auto parts will clear the code for you without charge. Total repair time = 25 minutes. Good Luck!

Check engine light came on and dealer wanted $400.00 for diagnostic and repair, but using a code reader was able ti isolate it to the EVAP system, change part and no more light. Great value and part.
