Excelente solo un pequeño detalle, que la salida donde conecta la manguera de gases del tanque es más reducida a la original pero soluciono mi problema de check engine.

The first time we got this product from them it failed, we went about returning it but they would not let us due to open box policy. It does fit the vehicle it’s supposed to and if it worked I would have considered it a good value, we are going to try again in hopes it works.

The mechanic said the canister was clogged causing the difficulty pumping gas into the tank. He wanted way more than I was willing to spend so I replaced it myself. Works perfectly.

We had multiple codes in our code reader after seeing the check engine light. I tried a couple fixes with evap small parts in the engine bay, DIY type fixes. Read about this canister, watched 2 YouTube videos and ordered it. Exact match, saved over $300 for the part and probably $300 in labor here in expensiveland Connecticut. The only issue is there is 1 wire connection in particular that is really hard (1 hour..) to get apart because the clip design requires patience and a small dental type pick to wiggle, pull, twist, push, rotate, wiggle, .....for it to come undone. Watch the YouTube video for a 2003 corolla and the genius guy cautions about that one clip/connection being a pain and you don't want to rip the wire out from the car end of the connection. Engine light went out after about 75 miles and it's been fine ever since. Great part option to have for a DIY job.

We had a P0442(small leak) &P0456(very small leak) on my friend's 2004 Toyota Matrix 2WD(#wd uses different unit). We tried the usual (new gas cap, replaced the hoses, new hose clamps & even new solenoids). A Smoke test didn't show any leaks.... we were stumped! Tried a USED canister from a wrecked car..same issue. Finally gave in an bought this. FIXED!!! Was probably bad diaphragms inside the valves on the old units. This part was HALF the cost of one from Toyota(same as Pontiac Vibe of same years). Dorman has a long history of identifying common car problems and developing cost effective fixes that replace just the bad part, rather than a whole assembly sold by the car manufacturer.BE CAREFUL, as 2 of the hoses on this are the same size and connect right next to each other. Mixing them up will get you a PURGE FLOW error code. MARK THEM before removal!!Before you spend the $ on this, be SURE its not something else leaking..like the gas cap.Clearing the codes will require the car to run its tests and the EVAP can take a while. Make sure tank is about 3/4 full, start car COLD and let warm up for about 3 minutes. then bring up RPM to 3000 for about 20-30 seconds, then go for a drive. Can take 15-45min to complete EVAP test.

Installed this last week before my NY State inspection. I had 2 error codes (P0446, P0442) on my 2003 Toyota Corolla LE. Initially I thought I needed to changes the sensors for the evap system (one by the air filter and the other on the charcoal canister) but that didn't fix the issues. I also replaced the gas cap with a Toyota replacement, no luck. I replaced the canister and the check engine light has not returned since. I was able to pass emissions with 130k miles on the car. If you have a evap error I suggest you replace the cap, If no luck then replace the canister. It's normal to replace with Toyotas over 100k. * No need to take this to the mechanic to install. It's a easy DYI with a screw driver, pliers, and car ramp.
