I normally like Dorman products but this is the 2nd time I have been disappointed. The EGR valve seems to be well made and has some weight to it. The 1st clue was that the gasket did not fit the mountingstuds. The 2nd clue was that the EGR valve would start down the mtg studs but would not reach the bottom. I was not going to try to make it fit, so back it goes. I will have to consider other sellers otherthan Dorman in the future.

I bought this in Jan 2022. Started leaking in 2023. Finally figured out the egr housing itself is loose and wobbly. Not the mating surface but the body of the valve. I suspect this like other automotive parts sold on Amazon are seconds that are lower quality than you get from parts store. And as others stated gasket didn't fit.

It definitely works and does the job, check engine light still comes on for it though occasionally.

Gasket that comes with egr valve doesn't fit, had to get another one to install it.

Supercharged 3800 Series II engine.Car would randomly stop - braking, idling, could be highway speeds or turning the corner in the neighborhood. Cheap OBDII adapter to read check engine codes, just about every sensor available, a few vacuum tubes, the EGR valve seems to have done the trick.UPDATE 8/24I now have constant P0401 codes, regardless of cleaning the EGR and the surrounding intake. I will be ordering a replacement to see if this resolves the issue.

THE PLUNGER WAS ALREADY ACTIVATED, CREATED MISFIRES AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I PURCHASED A DORMAN EGR, NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.

I installed it on my ‘01 Buick over a year ago and it fixed the problem and hasn’t failed. I needed to use a drill press to bore out the fittings on the part and gasket because it was a bit off. Part is made in China so there’s that. For the price tho it was a good choice to keep an old car on the road for about $100

So far, so good no issues. The gasket did not line up properly. Easy fix and not to much of a hassle since the metal is thin. Can't give it a 4 star for that reason.

The part fit with no problems. The new gasket would not fit over the studs. Luckily the old gasket was still usable. That’s why 4 stars and not 5.

This product was perfect. I tried several other aftermarket valves & none of them worked. This valve cost 2-3 times what those other valves cost. Externally they all looked identical. One of the cheaper valves I used that didn’t work was exchanged resulting in the same results. I’ve always believed in quality, but if I could save 200-300 percent sometimes I will take a chance. The valve was very easy to exchange which allowed me to play around with. Every Dorman product I’ve ever purchased has been high quality.
