Easy to install . Remove battery and coolant overflow tank first . There are three clips along cable to get cable out of . I removed hood latch which made cable end easy to remove and install new one . Cut nipple on fire wall grommet to make feeding new cable easier back into passenger compartment. Caulk cut nipple for water protection into passenger compartment.

Perfect replacement hood release cable for my 1999 Toyota 4-Runner. Very easy to replace yourself if you find your old cable not retracting.
