Since fitting it seems to be working well. The lightning bolt symbol has not returned and the Jeep seems to be running fine. A bit awkward to remove the old one and fit the new throttle body, it took me about 3 hours but with patience and basic tools it’s doable. Make sure you get the one with the correct electrical connection. Some are double stacked some are single.

Dorman produces 2 throttle bodies for my engine, not knowing I ordered the one first specified (977-163) which has a straight line electrical connector. My car has a stacked electrical connector and to find the correct part you must go to the Dorman web site which provides the correct part number (977-025) which has a stacked wiring connector. Installed the correct part and car is repaired.

Got a bad part from a cheaper source , it failed within 100 miles. Bought the Dorman no issues since.

I ordered this part for my 2012 Jeep Patriot Sport 2.0. My husband insisted on a Dorman and this one cost half the price of Auto Zone. We got it installed and it ran great for about the first 20 miles and then the throttle body light came on and it went into limp mode. We did the relearn process with the gas pedal and it came out of it and ran great again for about a week and it went into limp mode again. We did the relearn process again and it came out of it again. I'm sure it will happen again. My gas mileage did not improve much with this part, either. Even after replacing spark plugs, coils, manifold gasket, etc. Very disappointed.

Straight forward repair for a no start dodge. Also replaced pigtail to be safe. Simple throttle reset on average scan tool.

The OEM throttle Body was completely unresponsive on a 2008 Dodge Caliber. This Dorman Throttle Body was a perfect fit and exact replacement. It works as well as the OEM and got the car back on the road. I would by again.

Worked perfectly and half the price. Didn’t have to program it. Plug it in let it idle the. Drive. Didn’t unhook the battery either like some people say to.

Nice new throttle body. Fit perfectly on my 16 Patriot with 115,000kms. Install was quick, easy and instructions were youtubeable. Only downside was the OEM rubber gasket... CAD$27 at the stealership. The cheaper options in amazon were to take a week or so for delivery.
