Your cart is empty.When the original equipment throttle bodies on certain Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles fail, it's often due to moisture infiltration, worn sensor contacts, or excessive oil buildup. This upgraded Dorman OE FIX electronic throttle body is completely redesigned to eliminate those common sources of failure and provide longer and more reliable service. This all-new construction (not remanufactured) throttle body features a rugged aluminum housing, a Hall effect sensor, and a proprietary Sensor Shield shaft seal designed to better resist damaging moisture, oil, and other contaminants. A specially designed mounting gasket is included for a complete repair. As with any throttle body replacement, we recommend performing an idle relearn with an appropriate scan tool. Note that this unit is a replacement for certain vehicles that have a wiring harness ending with a male connector with a single row of pins as a result of a change by the original equipment manufacturer to their throttle body design. The female connector on this throttle body accepts only that male connector with the single row of pins. Please visually inspect the connector on the wiring harness on the vehicle being repaired to ensure you select the correct OE FIX throttle body. If the vehicle's throttle body harness has a connector with dual stacked row of pins, please select instead our OE FIX electronic throttle body 977-025.

Purchased for my vehicle and within months same codes came back. Now have to replace again. Make sure it’s compatible with your vehicle before hand. Could be the electronics are not compatible. Still trying to diagnose the problem.

Part arrived same day as ordered, great, unfortunately there are 2 types of electrical plug ins, this one has a straight line plug (all electrical tabs are in a straight line inside the connector). Amazon indicated this to be the correct part for my car. My car uses a stacked connector, one row of electrical connectors sits on top of another set of electrical connectors within the plug. On the manufacturers site there is a note indicating that if you do not have the straight line connector you need to order part number 977-025 which I did and installed and now all is OK.

Works for inline 6 plugs on 2016 jeep patriot sport 2wd. It's been about a month and it's driving better then it ever has. I've had this car waiting on the dealership for 8 months to get the part. It was here in 2 days and on In 30 minutes. Well worth the price.

Made the mistake of ordering TB that Amazon said "fit". It didn't. But with a little (lot) of looking, this Throttle Body fit perfect. The Dorman 977-163 Electic Throttle Body single row pins. No need to take out battery. Just removed snorkel, moved water hose out of the way and with a little of wrenching with 10mm and 13 mm done in under 1/2 hours. Really. And I'm only kinda handy.Also incuded pix of the wrong one sent. It seem 90% of them have the stacked 3 pin layout. Many Youtubes of how to rewire. Yes this one cost more than 3 X the other ones. But well worth the headache of not wiring correctly.NOT EVEN TWO MONTHS LATER: But passed the return date. Lightning bolt returns. Throttle body issue and limp mode are back. Dorman is a name that I thought I could trust. One month return policy. Evidently not enough.I just bought the $40 one with the dual stacked pin row male connector. I could buy more than 4 of the $40 ones to equal what I paid for this ONE. Very disappointed.

When I purchased my Jeep Compass, it had a motor with a spun bearing in it. Since I bought the car cheaply, I was able to find a low mileage engine in the wrecking yard, this left me with a healthy budget to replace numerous parts on the engine. The car spent most of it's life in the Chicago, Il area so there was a lot of corrosion on the aluminum parts, including the fuel injection throttle body. I put this unit on and when I started the Jeep it ran like a brand new car right off the dealer's lot. Nice to know you can still find good parts.
