Amazon lists this Dorman aftermarket replacement for 2001 Ford F250 SD, extended cab right rear brake cable. It is 2" too long on fwd end causing disconnect at the right rear drum. My Ford dealer used successfully the ACDelco 18P2925 I bought after comparing it to the original Ford cable. No issues! Amazon lists this GM part as alternate replacement part for the right rear Ford brake cable. It should be the only right choice! BTW, the left rear Dorman cable fit OK.

I bought this for my 2002 Ford F250 and it seems my experience is similar to others negative experiences listed in the reviews. For me, everytime I would apply the brake the end of the cable that goes into the lever would pop out. Ultimarely I had to drill a small hole in the end of the cable and put a washer and cotter pin in to keep it from sliding out. A much more simple fix if I knew I had to do this on the bench but a bit more of a challenge while on the truck.

I look my truck if for a safety and needed new e brake lines and this one broke one week after I got it installed this is suposed to be for safety it dusint seem so safe now.

Terrible. The hook that fastens to parking brake mechanism is too long and doesn’t allow parking brake to engage as the hook bottoms out on other end of cable. See photo showing longer hook assembly compared to OE part. The result is DOES NOT WORK.

High quality, good price, easy installation. The only problem I had was getting the clips to engage properly. The framing seems just a touch thicker than the clips were allowing for. But a little fines and it went together. These cables are built to higher specifications than the OEM parts and function much better. Highly recommend these.
