Cables were about 2 in short, and no clips or locks to hold the cables in the floor pan.

I am a female that does my own small auto repairs, and I teach myself from Youtube videos - with that being said - this product works great. I've had them on my 2002 mini cooper s for a week now with no problems. The only difference I noticed is the clips that snap into the body of the car are plastic and are not strong enough to stay in place, the previous one's were metal with a metal clip that snaps in place from inside the car. As you tighten the cable by the hand brake nut, these plastic clips with move into the car - just shoving them in from below the car did not work, they kept popping back out.

The left and right side sold by Dorman are different. The lengths are different and the ends are different. Both boxes say made in Turkey, but one cable is stamped made in China. If you look closely at the pictures (which I didn't since I assumed they would match), you can see one has a plastic end and the other has a metal end. Had to go through the whole installation process, discover the lengths were incompatible, remove them, return these, get dealer parts and install those. big PITA. Bad people!!
