Product fit well in my 1992 Honda Accord EX but did not last long and left me stuck on the side of the road.

Looked good out of the package, but would not hold pressure when installed. One of the internal seals was obviously leaking. After trying to bleed it for an hour, decided to just return it and buy another locally (which I was able to bleed just fine, in no time at all).Luckily the Amazon return process was very easy.

The build quality overall was good. This master cylinder feels solid and fits as it should; however, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. The first is that this item does not come with a gasket to seal the master cylinder against the firewall, which can allow water into the car if the old gasket does not get a proper seal. The second problem is the drain plug. The plug itself is a cone shaped compression fitting, and upon installation started leaking. Found out the plug had not been tightened properly, but even after fixing that issue the plug still leaked. Compared to the plug in original master cylinder, the threads are slightly farther along the new plug, which we believed to be causing the plug to not fully insert into the drain hole to get a good seal around the cone section. We switched the new plug with the one from the old master cylinder and got a much better seal and after that had no issues.

I am giving 5 stars because this product fits and feels exactly like the original Honda Master Cylinder I had originally in my car. It came with good protective wrapping in it's individual box, with instructions. I have been using this product for about a month and that's not very long but no leaks so far. I may review my rating if it starts to leak.

Used to fix my 1994 Honda Accord DX at 255,000 miles. The clutch is as good as new now. I will note that it would not bleed properly using the method outlined in the service manual (from the master cylinder down to the slave). I had to use a syringe to push fluid from the slave to the master then I finally got clutch pressure back.
