I'd never run into a collapsed brake hose before so It took me a while to figure out why I couldn't bleed the brakes after installing a new caliper. I replaced the one that failed and the one on the other side also.

This was a perfect fit for my 2005 Chevy Equinox! It fixed my issue at a fraction of the cost that it would've cost me to buy this locally! My caliper kept locking up and my husband replaced them, but it still happened, so we looked online for possible causes. He thought it might be the master cylinder, but I found another site that said to try replacing the hose. It was a MUCH cheaper option and it worked!

It is a perfect fit for my 2004 saturn vue. If you notice your brakes are sticking, i would change the brakelines first before switching out the calipers. It seems that after sometime the brake line gets fatigued and the rubber expands inside the line that causes it to close and not let the brake fluid move freely. I found this out after i replaced my good calipers. In the same light if you are switching out your calipers it is a good idea to put new lines in also.Make sure when you get the brake line that it comes with the copper washers. I had an issue that 2 sets i received had no washers and sent both back to Amazon.

A great fix for what appears to be a bad caliper that acts like its sticking. Made of multiple layers, the innermost layer on flexible brake hoses can collapse and begin acting like a one-way valve that lets you apply the brakes but doesn't want to release the pressure or does so slowly. This leads to premature pad and rotor wear, overheated brakes. I thought it odd that I could push one of the dual cylinders in the caliper back in and the other pushed right out but they didn't want to retract when considerable pressure was applied to both at the same time.

This is a perfect fit for a 2004 Saturn VUE. Mine came without the two copper washers. If this happens to you too, simply order Dorman Help! 66223 Brake Hose Bolt Washer(s), ASIN B000CO7DVS, which is either a single washer or a pair of washers.

Great hose, autozone will sell you duralast for twice as much. I bought this hose and have had no issue, very good quality. When should I replace my brake hose?If yo feel that your brakes are sticking, you need to replace your calipers, but you should also replace the hose, because if the hose is very old your new calipers will not get enough brake fluid to them and they will get stuck again.
