It will not fit a thin walled board. Got it for reboarding a 1648 alumacraft and it did not fit or work for it at all. The stabilizers were below the hull of the boat.

this is the perfect ladder for my montauk. for the people that need the ladder off the skiff or small boat, this is ideal. cheap, but effective.

Bought for my fishing boat, but use it for the grandkids when they MUST go swimming. I also tried it, at 200# it was still fairly easy to reboard.

Simple product but only has two small areas that have to hold weight. I worry that it could result in dents in my boat. Should have been a larger area to distribute weight. Product now sits in my shed without a purpose.

Wish it was a little bit more sturdy but not bad

Worked perfectly on my uncles boat. Very well made and very sturdy. He had a hard time getting back up into his bass boat after wrong in the water. This worked great with some modifications though. This is just under a 12" span where the ladder hooks over the edge of the boat. His boat has a wider gunwale walk around (12") so he could put it where he wanted to but was able to find attachments to screw on his gun wake in which the ladder drops into them. He also had to modify the extensions to make sure it was straight when climbing up but was easy with additional pvc pieces. Just make sure your walk-around is smaller than the span of the hook rails.

It is quite a leap from the side of my boat to the dock. It is about a 3 foot jump. That makes it hard to dock it. This was the perfect solution. It fits good. It does angle out away from the boat at about a 25-30 degree angle which is okay since it puts you right above the dock. It doesn't come close to hitting the dock. It is sturdy. However, all boats have different height and angles for gunwales. Check your boat's gunwale height. This ladder drops 2 1/2 feet off the side. If your boats has a short gunwale, it may hit the dock but it would still work for the stern. One downside, which I had anticipated in advance, was that since the angle on my boat is about 30 degrees away from the side of the boat (on my Bayliner) the plastic protectors contact my boat at a sharp angle too. I didn't want to take a chance that it might scuff the side of my boat. So, I fabricated a flat piece of plastic to connect the 2 pegs spreading out the weight flat against the side. No scuffs. It worked fine.
