This is a very good set. The durability, holes, tapered end, leather string are all good and as expected.It may not be what you need however.1) If you need to keep your saddle perfectly balanced, you will be better off using the cowboy knot and tie straps on both sides of your saddle, so you will not need the “off billet” in this set. My horse is mutton withered (flat, smooth back), and the saddle tends to slip, so I need to tie on (don’t use the holes) because I need to be at a spot in between holes.2) If you are using both the front and rear saddle D-ring to tie on (know as “Y”, “V”, “Enduro”, “3-way”, or “center fire”), this strap may be too short. You likely need a 7’ or 8’ strap for that, but it depends on whether you have drop rigging on your saddle, and the size of your horse, and if you can use the holes. Although I have a smaller horse, my saddle does not have drop rigging, and I can’t use the strap holes, and I need a foot for a cowboy knot, so I need a long strap to rig using both the front and rear D rings. Endurance riders rig off 2 D-rings for shoulder relief for the horse because of the long distances they ride. Gaited horse owners do it to not inhibit their horses gait. I do it because it’s ergonomic for the horse, but also to gain some extra saddle stability on my smooth backed horse.

You definitely get what you pay for with his item. Reinforced the additional holes I had to make (small horse) with duct tape due to stretch. Will go with different brand next time even though would have to pay more.
