I love to keep a bird feeder out front, but my old hanger was getting a little rusty and was unstable in the ground after a rain. This one caught my eye since I could use it to hang my flower basket decoration as well! It arrived quickly and was easy to set up. The 5 forks give it greater stability to hold up to the windy day we had today. Not that I suggest keeping something like this up in 40mph gusts, but I know at least it didn't fly away today.

Flimsy, weak, hollow. I wish I could give this order zero stars. Please don't fall for the okie-doke of the photoshopped pictures in the listing's description. This pole couldn't even handle a cheap mallet staking it into soft ground. As you can see from my pics, the metal buckled. I don't know how long this will hold up. It is cheap and flimsy metal. I set my lightest bird feeders on it because that's how little I trust it. I do not recommend this at all. The pole is just barely over half an inch wide. Barely! And within that little, itty-bitty width the metal is ridiculously thin. The design is beautiful, but the quality is just not there. Please look elsewhere.

This is a strong shepherd’s hook. It comes unassembled and is easy to put together. It’s a matter of screwing a few poles together in the right order. The height is adjustable by the number of pole segments. The spikes at the bottom easily stay in the cross shape (right angles to each other) so it was easy to get into the ground the same way. One of hooks slides on the pole and stays in place by a screw and nut, once done, it stays in place.I’m going to be able to grow some heavier plants on this when spring arrives, which is what I need.

Nice and sturdy. Goes together easily. When sunk into the ground it does not lean to one side or the other. Hold 2 large bird feeders easily.

Overall, this is ok as a bird feeder pole. The tubing is a bit over half an inch in radius, but it's hollow and the walls are quite thin. The main pole buckles a bit in the wind, because the assembly on mine doesn't connect tightly on one of the connections. It comes in sections, so you can adjust the height somewhat to fit your needs.It does seem to hold its own though, and as long as the feet and ground are stable and it's placed straight, I don't see it being much of a problem. I don't have a way to test the carrying capacity of this, but should be plenty for some hanging baskets and bird feeders.I have not had this long enough to comment on how it weathers rain, snow and sun. The joints have some exposed metal, so I expect that to be the first parts that rust. There are caps on the top of the hooks to prevent water ingress.

Attractive and sturdy. My yard is very rocky so it was hard to get securely in the ground. But once in solidly it has stayed in and straight while holding two bird feeders with about 3 pounds of seed each. Pleased with this item.
