The package I received didn't have any of the QA/QC issues that others have mentioned, but I'd definitely inspect yours as I imagine at this price point it's more of a random lotto because that's one of the first processes they cut to make margin.The grip on these isn't the best, it feels like plastic with a cheap rubber overmold, the metal seems good. The holes were all appropriately sized. I needed these for the expanded size range (e.g. 28ga) in my go-bag, so they won't see much use, and at $5/ea they work great. Make sure you're reading the listing right, as there is another one with a similar 2-pack that has 2 of one of the sizes, not 1 of both (which is what I got).

These aren't the highest quality, but I needed them to properly use Mogami cable to build my own pedalboard patch cables. they tools worked well.

I have Hakko and another high-end brand. These are identical in every way except for the kind of plastic on the handles. Dowell uses a harder kind of plastic, possibly more durable but not as soft.Not all of the "clones" are as well constructed as this clone. There is zero "play" in the pivot point and the cutting hole is very round and sharp with decent-quality steel.

Exactly what I needed to fix my garage door opener (a wire had snapped and so I needed to strip a new section to connect). I don't have to strip or cut wires a lot so I can't speak to all applications but it was perfect for mine.

I'm always a little wary of buying brands I've never heard of but these popped up when searching for smaller gauge wire strippers than the ones I already have.Even though I only needed the smaller one It was hard to turn down this 2-pack for the price.I've had these for about 6 months now and would buy again. I don't use them every day or professionally, only as an electronics hobbyist and some home DIY, but I see no reason they wouldn't hold up for a very long time. They feel comfortable, solid and well-built.I was hoping to use them to strip the insulation off of some very thin gauge magnet wire but even the smallest gauge on these strippers isn't quite small enough, but that's okay as magnet wire is exceptionally thin and I can find some workarounds for it.A nice feature is having the latch that keeps them closed when not in use. I think this is probably common nowadays but I have a ~30 year old pair of Jensen brand wire strippers that don't have a latch so yeah - its nice to have that to make storage easier and keep the blades from getting dinged up.All in all, these are a great deal and you really can't go wrong for this price.
