Bought two more for my daughters huskies. This saved my hands, arms and shoulders as I have severe issues in those areas. The instant I put it on my large bread dog, He no longer pulls me, taking the stress off of my hands, arms and shoulders. I'd highly recommend this and my daughter appreciates them as well. I was worried about the plastic clasp but because my dog doesn't pull me, it hasn't come apart and i've had it a couple years now. Adding or taking away a prong is really easy too. It doesn't hurt my dog at all, it's like a tiny bit of pressure to remind him not to pull. The prongs are not pointy at all, nor are they sharp. They are rounded and dull as not to hurt the animal.

Works as it should. We have a Dalmatian whose 60lbs and pulls a LOT so this made walks WAY better. Only complaint and I can't confirm if it was the product or us is that we've had it for a month or so and the clip came undone and he got loose and ran away on a walk. The second time (yes I said second time) the actual collar came apart and broke off when he was pulling from another dog and got loose. So I'm not sure if we are just too rough with it or what but we now use it with his regular collar and we had to buy carabiners to make sure that his regular collar and prong collar are clipped together so that if the collar breaks apart again our dog won't get loose and get hit by a car. So yeah, unsure if it's us or we just got a faulty one but it's a 5 stars for the pulling and 2 stars if it's faulty and is coming apart

Collar is terrible. Links came undone while in use, dog got off, and almost got hit by car.I wouldn’t recommend this collar to anyone!!!! Do not waste your money on this product.Spend more money on something better, and save a dogs life while you’re at it.This product is junk.

I had heard that prong collars worked well for training dogs not to pull on walks, but they seemed cruel to me. After talking to a trainer, she explained that they don't actually hurt your dogs and once they get the hang of how to act during walks, I could discontinue use of the collar if I wanted. This collar was very inexpensive but has been a game changer for our daily walks. He learned very quickly not to lunge or pull and now automatically sits at curbs or when I stop walking. It was also surprisingly easy to remove links...just follow the included directions. Any commenters who had difficulty simply did not follow the directions. I did it with my hands, no tools needed. I saved the extra links in a ziploc bag in case my dog grows. No need to spend extra $ on a fancy brand, this worked great for my 55lb pit puppy and we both look forward to his walks now!

I bought this in hopes to stop my 7 month old puppy from pulling. He weighs 40lb and I got size medium. His pulling was absolutely terrible. It was so bad that he was strong enough to almost make us fall. We thought about putting him into private training classes but they were so expensive and so we decided to try this collar. It worked immediately on his first walk. Completely stopped pulling and saved us from 500$ training sessions. The collar is super easy to put on and doesnt hurt him at all(I made sure before putting it on him)

After much research and consulting with dog trainers and owners, I decided to purchase this collar. I read reviews of other collars similar to this and strength and durability was a big concern. My dog is a 68 pound Rottweiler mix who was a rescue dog. Unfortunately, somewhere along his journey of life, he was hurt so he suffers from anxiety and fear based reactions to other dogs on our walks. I was trying EVERYTHING but couldn't get him to stop pulling on the leash and trying to lunge at other dogs. After watching videos on how to properly use this kind of collarI,somewhat reluctantly, purchased this collar, not wanting to get my hopes up and crossing my fingers that it was good quality and wouldn't hurt him or break. Well I am completely satisfied and very happy!! This collar has taken training on walks to a whole new level!! Coupled with a few training techniques, including tasty dog treats for good behavior, we can now walk past other dogs and he doesn't bark, lunge, or pull. He's learning how to just walk by them and continue to walk by my side!! PS he's a super sniffer too so before he was always pulling!! I highly recommend this collar along with advise on how to use it. Great product!!

UPDATED: (4 stars to 1 star) We have two dogs, a pit mix and a wiener mix. This collar is amazing for our pit, she doesn't hate it at all and yet it's supper effective with a jerk and a "no". In 5 minutes our pit went from a crazy puller (she literally has pulled my 11 year old son and wife off of their feet) to a completely obedient, heeling super dog.Our 30lb wiener mix was traumatized by the collar and wouldn't walk on the leash for a week after the first correction (I guess I pulled too hard). During the week of fear as it has been come to be known, she would lay down, rolls over and refuse to walk, even with a flat collar. We are still working with her to get her to feel safe again on a leash. If I could go back I time, I would have warned past me to be super gental with our smaller dog, barely pulling at all with the correction.Being so small, we don't really notice her pulling, but it's still a bad habit and we plan on buying the plastic "pinch" collar for her in the future. Reviews say it's less effective than collars like this one but maybe that's what she needs, something less effective. On a side note, I've worn this collar myself and had my wife jerk, as she would with our pit. It's not really painful, uncomfortable yes...but not painful. This collar seems to work much better than our beep/vibrate/shock collars too. Somehow our pit knows exactly what is expected from her with this collar....where the electronic collar doesn't seem as clear to her when it comes to pulling. The electronic collar does work great for rough housing or other non-leash related issues but when it comes to walking edicut this collar is far superior.UPDATE: Our pit-mix's collar broke as she ran to meet the neighbor dog. Thank goodness that our dogs aren't runners nor aggressive! It could have been a tragedy if this happened during a walk near the road. We will be returning these and buying something that doesn't have a pattern (I've read on other reviews that this has happens to others) of breaking.

This collar completely met my expectations for function and quality. I decided that I needed a pinch collar for training because my pup has a very thick neck ruff and didn't respond to correction using simple choke collar. He continued to pull to the point of choking himself. With the pinch collar he responds immediately to a correction, pays attention and quickly learned to walk beside me and not pull on the leash. It is a perfect fit for my 16 lb Schipperke without any adjustment and it seems to be good quality. Prongs are rounded, chrome is polished smooth. I didn't think I would be able to easily manipulate the small links to take the collar on and off as required by the other style. Having the quick release makes it very easy.

I have an almost 8 month old pitbull. She weighs about 70 lbs. (give or take a few), and she is a puller. I am 5' 4" and about 200 lbs, and even with using my body weight against her, she would still manage to pull me wherever we went. I just got home from EASILY walking my furbaby for 10 blocks and she did great with the prong collar. The difference was instant! She tried to pull a few times, but mostly she walked right in front of or beside me and even left slack on the leash. I have never been able to walk her that far because of damage done to my shoulder a few years back. I can finally walk my dog, without pain! It's incredible! I did have to removed a few links, but with her still being a puppy, those links can be added right back on as she gets bigger. Now, I can walk my dog on a regular basis, and probably lose more weight in the process! Win/win! I love this prong collar and will most likely order another for my husband's dog!UPDATE: We did order a 2nd collar for my husband's dog, which is one of my dog's litter mates. She weighs a little bit more, but is pretty close to the same size as mine. This afternoon, my son and I were finally able to actually enjoy walking both dogs, with no problems! My son is 8 years old and 90 lbs, which is a mere fraction of my weight, and these collars worked like a charm. No pulling whatsoever! I highly recommend these prong collars, especially if you have big dogs that like to pull and drag you everywhere.

The collar is very good quality, but the size is quite a bit larger than I expected and I'm not referring to the length, which can be remedied by removing as many links as necessary. The links themselves were much larger and more heavy-duty than I was expecting, nearly too big for my 23.5 pound dog. It is usable, but almost overwhelming for her. The collar is fine but for that issue.
