Now the innovative Dr. Pulley Sliding Roller Weights slide up-and-down the ramp to change the gear ratio. This unique sliding movement (not rolling) provides exclusive advantages to increase CVT performance. With Dr. Pulley, no abnormal wear will occur even when running in high gear. Dr. Pulley's U.S. Patent Number 7,276,004 states that their sliding roller weights eliminate abnormal wear, prevent reduction gear ratio deterioration, prolong the useful life of the transmission, and have the availability to adjust reduction gear ratios as well as driving performance. At the same time, Dr. Pulley Sliding Roller Weights are also adapted to compensate wear automatically, to adjust by itself to move further outward in a movable drive pulley half and to make the vehicle reach a higher maximum vehicle speed. So I used these in a Yamaha Vino 50cc 2T scooter, ended up staggering them with some NCY 6g round rollers 3+3. Just keep the order correct and you’ll be fine. Pay attention to installation directions- it’s easy to improperly install these. I completely cleaned the variator of all dust + grease and appplied a molybdenum disulfide based dry-slide lubricant all over the rollers, channels, and the bushings that the plate rides on, everything worked smoothly in that configuration. Keep it clean and it’ll work fine :)

Installed the 5-gram weights into a bone stock 2012 Zuma 50F with 400 miles on the clock. GPS top speed on a minor downward gradient went from 36.8 to 41.0 mph. Per the speedo, its now reading a couple mph faster in all conditions while acceleration wasn't impacted. For reference, I'm 5'-10" @ 185lbs.

I have a 100cc big bore kit on a TaoTao Pony max speed is about 42 on a straight away with 6.5 rollers, gets up to 55 down a regular hill, up hill it does about 30-35, so I put these sliders on to see if it would get to 42 faster and help me up hills, not only does it not get to 42 faster it slowed me down to 37 and my top speed down regular hills was only about 47. Bottom Line if you have a big bore kit this will not help you, don't waste your money. I'm going to try it on my friends 50cc and maybe give another review.

Definitely helped improve acceleration with a bit more top speed. I'm using the 5 gram weights in my Yamaha C3.

Really nice throttle response now on my aprilia sr50. Mine is a 2000 carb version and with exahaust mods to the stock exhaust, jetting and these weights I got 48.6 mph on flat ground and I weight almost 200#

These sliders work great. I suggest going a gram heavier than you would with a roller. I am using 6.5 gram sliders in my 2013 zuma 50f.
