I use DR Black strings on all my other basses, I thought these white strings would compliment my new build better . The strings sound great as always , I haven’t tried to see them with a black light yet but maybe one day .

Een snaar is een snaar zou je denken. Maar nee dus. Deze DR Neons geven herl veel static tijdens het spelen van mijn bas (Italia Rimini 4) en de G snaar valt zelfs bijna helemaal weg in volume. Dat terwijl de snaren akoestisch (de Italia is semi holliw body) wel goed klinken. Uit nood de snarenmop mijn Ibanez SRFF800 gedaan, waar ze wel normaal klinken. Normaal, maar wel iets doffer. Voor mij de 1e en laatste keer dat ik dut soort snaren koop.

The price has gotten better on these, and they were worth it before. The coating seems to make them last much longer IME.

Good strings looked good. color is bright but doesnt last very long. Depending how active a player you are these strings color will only last maybe two months and then they will need to be replaced. Tone is not crisp but they look cool.

Die Saiten klingen gut bis auf die tote g Saite welche deutlich leiser und total dumpf ist (wie eine Saite die 6 Monatein Gebrauch war).Allerdings ist die Beschichtung teils beschädigt. Was nutzt eine Beschichtung welche die Saiten schützen soll, wenn diese wegplatzt?Schade. Nächstes mal kaufe ich wieder normale Saiten.Nachtrag: Eine verlängerte Lebenszeit kann ich diesen Saiten auch nicht attestieren. Sie verschleißen ebenso schnell wie normale und klingen bereits nach 1Mon recht dumpf. Nach 3 Monaten ist da nichts mehr zu machen. Normale Saiten kann man wenigstens durch kochen auffrischen. Diese nicht, wegen der Beschichtung.

I'm a tone freak, and I got these strings as a gag. I figured I'd put them on, have a laugh at practice, and that would be the end of that. However, these strings have a great sound. I play a Warwick thumb with single coils, and there is that bell like tone out of the package that you want. The coating however does wear off, wherever it comes into contact with a fret, or a pick.Under a black light, these things are insane, they are blazingly bright, and look just like the artists rendering on the package. If you play out in clubs with lighting, definitely consider these strings.

So far, so good. I've had them on my bass for a few days now, and really like the diminished buzz - I play in a duo, and while practicing, the buzzing from other strings was driving my guitar player mad. Sound is nice and bright, surprisingly. I expected them to sound a bit 'derpy' because of the coating, but they do not. Took a few times playing to be able to see my fretboard through the field of white at a glance, but now it's fine. I've been playing bass and guitar for about 18 years now, and buying strings from Amazon for the past 12, and this may be the first review for strings I've written. I'm going to try another color next time, as white isn't the best match for my Music Man Sterling, but ordered the white as they were available for delivery that day.
