What can I say about DR strings in general? Well I've purchased a set of Bass Sunbeams 45-100, a set of 10-46 Pure Blues, and these in the past year. Three purchases, and every set had one dead string! I mean completely dead!!!Needless to say I'll be steering clear of them in future. I'm staying with my old faithful Elixir Nanowebs.

These were put on my Starcaster and I freaking love them. I’m trying to find that specific string for me and I love these strings. They feel good on my fingers and are so smooth. I’m thinking 10-50 is perfect for me but trying 10-52 out. Never heard of this brand but this might be my got to from now on, really good strings overall.

Remember when these were the latest new boutique strings and they could bend around a city block without going sharp? Well, they're back. Improved, and still around $6.50-$7.00, so now, they're the cheap high-end string! They may not be boasting pure nickel, but they're quality round-wound nickel and still have that DR playability that makes you wanna' play. Don't keep trying to pass off those NYXL's. They served a purpose with their bright punchiness, but they were harsh, and you're ready to get something more soulful without spending $12.00 or you wouldn't be researching on Amazon...

Give these strings a try. Round core strings sound and feel better to me. I know everyone has “their” strings. But I’ve tried dozens of different strings from all popular manufacturers and I always come back to these. A bonus is that they seem to lasts longer than other brands at the same price point. I play a little bit of everything. Even have a 10-46 set on a guitar tuned down to C# and they are stable and have no problem staying in tune. You won’t be disappointed. And if you are, you’re only out 7 bucks so stop whining.

Semplicemente perfette!

(Tuning I use - F, B♭, E♭, A♭, D♭,G♭, B♭, E♭) These Strings fit very well for my Agile Intrepid Pro 828. Its Has a scale length of 28 5/8s. These guitars seem to be set up for Labella Crazy 8s with the lowest string being a 74, however these DR Strings work wonderfully as well, as the lowest string is a 75 gauge. There is no drilling required to the tuners, if you have this model of guitar and use these strings. Only gripe is that the 4th lowest string is a bit short, but it still manages to wind up ok, see picture above. For the tuning I use the tension is superb, would recommend. I give it 4.5 stars, took off .5 because of the short 4th lowest string.

After using several other companies' in the 11 gauge arena, I've found that DR strings have a very well rounded tone. DR Tite Fit 11s have a tone that is full and bright at the same time; allowing you to play many different styles of music. If you need more of a Jazz tone, roll your EQ back a little on the highs and you can really hear the richness of the upper mids and tightness of the lows. If it's a Rock tone you are looking for, scoop it just a touch in the mids and add your favorite distortion and it's there. Want Country tone? Cut some of the lows, bring up the upper mids and add just a little bit of the super high frequencies for that nice glassy tone. All that being said, the DR Tite Fit 11s have a very level amount of tone that can be enhanced in certain frequency ranges to give you a tone that you are looking for to fit whatever genre you are playing. The gauges are very nice because the #3(G) string is not too heavy or too light. Being an .018, the 3rd string is not to light making it sound a thin and is not to heavy like a .022, in some sets of strings, which are toooo mid-rangy giving you, or me, EQing problems. The #6(E) string is heavy enough (.050) to give you a nice tight low end that is not sloppy sounding like lighter gauges tuned to a low pitch. Also, when playing across strings, the individual string tensions feel very similar giving a more balanced playing experience. No string really stands out to my right hand when playing passages that require skipping or just going across strings, allowing one to keep a similarly steady pressure on the strings throughout the lick.
