I bought this to secure my tv to my dresser after my cat jumped on it and flung it. It is easy to install and seems to be secure. I've had them installed for over a month now with no problem. Whether you're childproofing, cat proofing or happen to fall into furniture, they work well. A tip if you're screwing by hand through thick wood is to hammer a nail where you intend to screw, rip it out and use that hole.

The product was good but the screws that came in the package were not compatible with Smasung 50" TV. I had to buy them separately. The self-trapping screws that came in the package meant to be drilled in to the media cabinet was way too big (about 2") and damaged my plywood cabinet. I had to resort to using 3/4" screws which were actually good enough for the job they are supposed to do.

This product worked well for its intended purpose however it does not come with screws for Samsung Flatscreens. My 55" Samsung takes M8 screws, which this package comes with, but they are too short. I had to buy a multi pack of M8 sizes and the 30" worked well, even though my tv says it takes 43-45" M8 screw. Aside from that, installation was easy and now I don't need to worry about my toddler pulling the tv over.

Good product but the edges where the screws go in are too thick so the TV's own screws are too short and you have to find compatible ones. Headache at the hardware store. We had to screw this on the lower side of TV where the TV legs are screwed. Really too bad. Otherwise very good product for families with curious toddlers.

We bought these in a hurry when we bought a new TV and realized we couldn't wall mount it in our apartment without damaging walls and no one in town carried safety straps. Shipping was fast and these were so easy to install. We mounted the TV to our TV stand to keep our lil ones safe and avoid holes in our walls. It is such a great feeling knowing our TV is secure and our children are safe.

I did not buy this as a baby-proofing item but rather because I cracked my TV stand and the TV would no longer stand up on its own. These straps are a fraction of the cost of a universal stand and they are doing an excellent job of securing my TV in place. The straps were easy to install as they came with all necessary pieces (I used the wood screws to secure it to the back of an entertainment unit made of MDF and the screws did not even crack the MDF which is nice).I would highly recommend these straps if you are concerned about your TV toppling over for whatever reason.

I LOVE simple things, and this is just that.Used on a 32" Sony BraviaI always wondered about mounting my TV securely before my child can reach it, and before I knew it, it was time! I ordered this kit and I couldn't be happier. Each strap has two sides with the required screws included. One side is mounted on the back of your TV (using the existing holes to mount it on the wall), you have a few different sizes of screws to do this, and only one set fits, so you can't really mess it up (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS).The other side can be screwed either to the wall, or the back of your TV stand. My wall happened to not be the best mount things on (or I would have mounted the TV itself to start with), so I went for option number two: screwing it to the back of my TV stand.I have a pretty heavy IKEA TV stand, and with the provided 6 screws (3 for each side) I secured the other end to my TV stand. The whole process took less than 15 minutes, and the TV is solid. The other feature about these straps is the adjustability. Sometimes, if I want to turn my TV sideways while sitting on the couch that is not facing the TV, I can loosen one of the straps (baby is asleep by then) and can move the TV freely. Once done, I return the TV to its position and tighten the strap again. SIMPLE.

The ends fit on the back of my TV no problem. The fastener kit came with several different screw threads and one set threaded into my TV. The ends are thick metal and will not bend. The nylon strap is heavy enough to pick up the TV and long enough to reach the wall or base of the TV stand.I decided against drilling pilot holes and attaching the anchor ends to the wall with screws. Or drilling into the back of the TV stand (a low credenza style). I purchased 3M Command velcro strips that I will use to anchor to the back of the stand. They each hold 12 pounds so the combination should keep the top of the 55 inch TV from going over center and falling. If your TV is too far from the wall, this system does not stop the TV from tipping backwards and having the base slide forward off the stand.

We have a little one (9 months now) and wanted to be ready when she starts grabbing everything in sight. These TV Savers are solid in construction. Obviously, you will need to drill it in to your furniture or wall. We opted with drilling in to our furniture, as that will always be against the wall, but the wall spot may not be covered if we select a different media center... anyway, we installed them properly and they work fine. The main purpose is to prevent the TV from falling forward, which it does. The TV can still fall backwards, but that was not supposed to be prevented by the TV Savers. We have not had any issues and it has protected our TV from nephews (1-3 years old). Would recommend to those that don't have a tall media center and are concerned about the safety of toddlers.

My 2 year old daughter is a climber and can scale walls like Spider-Man. I predict she will climb Mt. Everest by the age of five. We've always had a big, bulky CRT tv that just fit in it's cubby in the entertainment center so we never had to worry about her pulling it over on herself. We upgraded to a LED flat panel tv after our old tv died an untimely death due to an incident with the terrarium on the shelf above it. We weren't too upset about it, and rushed out to find our new tv.We chose a small screen because our living room is tiny, and because it fit in the furniture we already have and are happy with. The tv is positioned to the back of the cabinet so that if it gets pushed, it will just lean against the wall. I was worried that my daughter would pull on the tv, which is where these straps come in handy. They attach to the mounting holes on the tv and to the back of the tv stand and prevent the tv from toppling forward. It took approximately five minutes to install and I'm confident that they would hold up even tvs larger than our little 19".Well worth the money! I feel now that I can go to the bathroom without worrying about her pulling the tv over on herself.

We are very pleased with the Dreambaby 2 Pack Flat Screen TV Saver. Despite the product listing calling it a "two pack", you need both the straps in order to secure the TV. It was a breeze to install on our Sony Bravia and the hardest part was finding the studs in the wall. We chose a wall installation because our TV stand is not made from solid wood. The product looks to be decently made, I found no obvious faults, and the TV is now well secured to the wall. I tried to find a weakness with the installation but found none.

I ordered these a few weeks back as my 10 month old is starting crawl and stand up on things. I installed them without any problem, using the method of attaching to the back of the TV stand (as opposed to the wall). After installing, I gave it some varying degrees of tugging and after a couple tries, the buckles snapped right off!!! I'm not talking about the pieces that attach to the TV or to the wall/stand -- these are made of metal. I'm talking about the plastic pieces you loop the straps through to tighten/loosen. Honestly, I didn't tug hard all. I don't know if I tugged as hard as my son could however it was definitely not hard enough to the point where these things should break. Taking them off now and will look for something more sturdy.

A reasonably priced, essential safety device. Having grown up in the era of big, cathode-ray televisions, that I couldn't have pulled over as an adult, let alone as a small child, it's still hard for me to grasp that flat-screen TVs can be deadly. But after watching my son attempt to shake the TV stand, and picturing him with just a bit more muscle, I rushed to order straps. These straps attach to either the wall or the TV stand; I would suggest attaching to whichever you feel is sturdier. In our case, we attached to the TV stand, as we rent our home and I prefer not to drill into any more walls than necessary. The straps hold the TV solidly, and keep it secure not only if the TV screen is grasped and pulled, but also if the TV stand is shaken. They take a little work to install, but in most cases, I've found the easiest things to install, safety-wise, are often the easiest for a toddler to defeat. A little effort pays off with a lot of feeling secure.
