The clip for this lapel mic was broken on arrival. I got this to replace another lapel mic that had a broken clip… so this is quite disappointing and has put me back at square one. The mic itself irks, but is useless in its intended function without a working clip.

The microphone has a TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) 3.5mm plug even if this is a mono mic. In my opinion, this is a good feature. The mono voice/sound appears identically on both channels of a stereo recording without, of course, a stereo effect. The clip arrived broken (see picture), which is an annoyance for me. The muff on top of the mike is easy to remove for rinsing in water if necessary. Sound quality is in line with the price.

There's not a lot special about this microphone. I'll plug it into your standard consumer microphone jack. The sound quality is pretty good. You can keep it at a reasonable distance without worries. It's sensitive enough to pick up background noise, like your air conditioner.The clip is metal and is tight enough to hang onto clothing. The cord is your typical type of consumer audio cable that's pretty thin. So avoid jerking on it, and you won't get a short. The cord is a reasonable enough length to where you can sit back comfortably from your device.Overall, this microphone is a solid buy. It's at a low price point but will reliably serve its purposes for most users.
