Hand threading tap is popular for use in general machine tapping or CNC tapping. This is also appropriate for tapping the vast majority of materials in through or blind holed conditions. Taper style: starts the thread square with the workpiece. Plug style: generally used in thru holes. Bottom style: generate the thread to the bottom of the hole. Set: Contains taper, plug and bottom taps.

Good tap that comes in telescopic plastic storage case that really protects the tap.Cuts a nice thread in brass. Didn't try steel.Sadly, I needed a 9/32-26 BSB (British Standard Brass) thread, one of FOUR obsolete British threads. Man, talk about confusing and esoteric.

Was supposed to be a Bottoming Tap but it had standard taper. I had to grind off the end to make it a true bottoming tap. That was easier than packing up and returning for the right one.
