The purple pen works well but the pink one disappears before I've put 2 lines on a block of fabric.

I crochet stuffed animals, and I was having the hardest time attaching various parts centered, level, and evenly. I had the idea to mark my work with regular markers, and ended up ruining a few of my projects because I marked in the wrong place and couldn't get the ink out.Finding these disappearing ink markers was a life-saver!! I use them on 100% acrylic yarn, and the ink goes on very vibrantly and fades to just-visible within a few minutes (which works fine for my purpose). By the time I've attached my piece, I usually can't see any marks at all, but they wipe away easily with a damp cloth. I highly recommend them!

Works great but you only have like 15 minutes to complete project where you marked cause it disappears fast or you have to remember to touch up. I don't mind since other pens usually leave an after stain even after washes. I rather be safe and reapply

Definitely better than using pencil to mark your fabric but even attempting to sew immediately following your outline, the color often fades to invisible and I have to go back over the line a few times. Not something to use if you draw out the pattern and don't plan to sew right away.

Love these pens. They do exactly what they say and are not messy at all. You just cannot let your project sit, because the ink does disappear within 48 hours. You can an extra day if you run over the mark a couple of times. I do use the purple more just because it is dark. Just wish there was a dark brown one because even the purple is a little difficult to see when working with denim. I tried it on a beige piece of fabric just to experiment and it did disappear fully.

Overall, these are useful - with some limitations. The points are big and soft, and the ink spreads. Best used for larger scale markings where the bleed won't matter, or for general pointing marks. Washes out very easily - will even disappear without water if exposed to air long enough. Recommended for very short term marking. Don't count on it to be legible the next day.

A little too air soluble - when marking a complicated pattern, the ink in this pen disappears before I can cut. Also not suitable for making pattern marks necessary for construction (eg, instead of notches or indicators of where to match pieces). Also the ink is very faint, even on light colored fabrics.

Well the pens work wonderfully, I was however looking for a pen that would wait until I wash it off to disappear..just for hand quilting. The marks from these pens disappear quite rapidly. Once I touched the surface with water and the pen marks reappeared quite dark but washed right off again, I'm guessing it was from the ink soaking through to the batting. Nice pens both work well I just want something that sticks around a little longer lol I can't quilt that fast!
