I got this for my mother because of her limited mobility after leaving the hospital and it works great. It was easy to install and is stable.Even though she no longer needs it i have refused to remove it because it is great for me after leg day.

This raised toilet seat installs very easily! It is made of a similar quality to other brands such as Carex.I would advise that this really does add 5 inches to the height so it may not be suitable for shorter people. I am 5'7" and short-waisted. This raises my feet off the floor when sitting. I like it and would buy it again.

Great for post op ortho patients. If you don’t have high rise toilet this is great. At a good price. Quality great. Cleans easy. Gies on and off toilet in seconds. Very sturdy. I love the handle bars because all my rooms with toilets have nothing to grab on to. It’s mobile!!!Highly recommend.

I don't want to discourage anyone from purchasing this. Our experience with elderly frail mother is that there is an indented area in the front of the seat. Probably for a penis. She is unable to slide back far enough on the seat to expell with out it running down the front. That said.. the seat is " good height for bad hips. And very sturdy. Just not right for our situation. 5 stars for a good sturdy seat.

Prior to hip replacement surgery, I ordered the Drive Medical Premium Plastic Raised Toilet Seat with Lock and Padded Armrests (Elongated) . The seat arrived promptly and was double boxed.Installation was fairly simple once I got my stubborn toilet seat/lid off my Gerber elongated toilet bowl🚽. It helps to tilt the raised toilet seat in at the back of the bowl first then lower the front part of the unit. Reaching inside the bowl and holding the locking device while turning the knob helps to lock it into place. As far as "Pros" the seat feels very sturdy and doesn't wobble at all. The handles are designed to help push yourself up from the seat and are also structurally sound. Easy to clean but don't use bleach as the white plastic will yellow. Also, has a nice sized opening which helps with post toileting cleanup."Cons" include this unit is too tall for a comfort height (handicap) toilet. I'm 5'10" and my feet do not touch tbe floor when my tush is seated squarely on the seat. Much better for a regular height toilet. Also, the front edge of the seat is uncomfortable (arrow picture). I wish there was more of a slope as it feels like it is digging into my legs where they meet my tush. Finally, be prepared as the plastic is slick (almost feels wet) and can also be cold to the touch.Other than being too tall for a comfort height toilet and the uncomfortable front lip, the Drive Medical Premium Plastic Raised Toilet Seat with Lock and Padded Armrests is a lifesaver when recovering from surgery!12/29/23 Update: My husband removed the raised toilet seat today as I no longer need to use it in my recovery process. A couple of things I'll mention. The underneath side of the unit was filthy if you get my drift. I suspected this could be a problem and other than periodically removing the unit to clean there is no way to reach the bottom of the seat where it sits on top of the toilet bowl. Also, the arms are very difficult to remove once installed. After cleaning and wrestling the arms, the seat is back in the original box and stored away for future use.

At 70, I have considered myself as an attractive older woman and that I would never succumb to something like this toilet seat. One moment later I tripped and fell, my life changed immediately. I hurt my arms and my knee. You need arms to do many things. As a widow, I am alone and have to do everything myself. With a bad knee you need arms to get you on & off the commode. I ordered this immediately bc my arms were being additionally hurt bc I needed them to lift me. I paid a lovely plumber to install it. Thank you to the designer of this wonderful riser. I can just stand up now. I’m 5’6” and it fits me perfectly. This riser has changed my life. The seat itself slopes to the back which puts your bladder at an angle where you can urinate like a teenager! I suffer from prolapse which interferes with my ability to empty my bladder. So UTIs are prevalent. I doubt that will be the case any longer. I love it!!! One suggestion I would have is just bc we are old, we still like pretty things. Offering this is two pretty colors like aqua and a purple gray would make us not to be so embarrassed to buy it. No!!! You cannot have it back!!!

This is a really solid product at a great price point. BUT: Check the dimensions before you buy. Be aware that it adds 5 inches to the height of your toilet bowl. If you already have a comfort (higher) bowl, this product may be too high for you. If you have a bidet, it might not fit. I realized after I ordered that it wasn’t going to fit, but I couldn’t cancel because it had already shipped. I was unable to catch the delivery driver to reject the delivery. Within 30 minutes I was online trying to arrange a return only to find out that this product is not returnable. However, Amazon was great to deal with.

Sturdy construction. Make sure your toilet isn’t to tall (27”). If you ad the booster seat your feet may be dangling in the air. I’m 6 feet tall and my feet were off the ground!

I bought this for my mom but it wasn't for her. She needed the side rails for assistance but I noticed a few things I didn't like. While it's easy to install there's a bit of movement no matter how tight you get it and it's way too tall if you already have a higher toilet. Her feet didn't touch the ground. I'd recommend this only if you have a shorter toilet and you make sure the person using it applies pressure equally to both handles while rising. It's also nonreturnable so it was donated.

It's easy to install. That's the good news. The bad news is that it is really, really small. I am 5'11" and weight 220lbs so, yes, I have a fat butt but still, I felt so squeezed in this thing I could not stand it. And my wife, who is very skinny felt uncomfortable in it as well. So, into the trash it goes. Too bad because it is a good concept but lousy execution. What I did instead is get a standalone toilet riser that attaches along with the regular toilet seat and lid go down. It also flips back for cleaning. I paired that with a standalone stand that has raised handles on both sides. The combo is great and you can find both products here on Amazon! (see links below) With this setup there is plenty of room and I am very comfortable as is my wife who will be getting hip surgery shortly after me.Toilet Riser: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P9W7ZPM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1Side Rails: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PYZD18/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
