Use a crowbar to pry the old glass together with the plate;
Unplug the pins which connect the old glass;
Put the pins into the new glass;
Put the plate align with the steering gear, and press it on the center.

Item fit my vehicle as expected and connected with heater leads. Unfortunately the mirror is warped and would be unsafe to use long term. Easy enough to replace in my own. I'm ordering a replacement item to see if it's any better.

1st thing, the factory tension brackets from the OE mirror plate do not fit this. make sure you receive both metal tension brackets with your package. i did not receive both, as there was a hole in the box and i assume one fell out. i was able to make the factory ones work by grinding them down a bit.2nd, the mirror has a slight convex bow which can give a weird reflection. yes, i made sure all mounting tabs were seated fully.3rd, for the price, it’s a decent replacement. i needed one fairly quickly, so this worked out for me.
