Using it for a splash on a Ludwig kit, holds well, and is thick with enough bit not to move or strip in the center mount.

DW boom arms employee toothless tilting which allows for, literally, unlimited and precise adjusting. why most companies still employee the tooth tilter is beyond me. a quick disclaimer, however - the one i received was equipped with the black, plastic quick turn handle, not the basic wing nut as pictured. to me, this is a plus.
