Product Description

Drum brush Kit,1pair Cahon Metal Wire Brushes and 1pair Jazz Nylon Brushes,1pair Percussion Bamboo

We provide you with 4 sets of drum brushes in the drumstick bag, metal wire, nylon, bamboo, birch

Cahon Metal Wire Brushes

Cahon Metal Wire Brushes

Metal wires can make a noticeable difference in sound. Although metal wires are much harder than wood, they are also much thinner than wood or nylon, making them lively and bright under intermittent rhythms and rich and full under slow legato.

Bamboo Tie Rods

Birch Multi-Rod Bundle Sticks

The birch pole is flexible and durable. The use of this kind of wood is easier to produce volume and concentrated attacks, produces a slightly stronger rod-like sound than other materials, and provides a medium volume between the drumsticks and the drum brush.

Nylon Drum Brushes

Jazz Nylon Brushes

Nylon materials are the most flexible and durable materials used, giving them a unique feel and response. Normally, nylon bristles will produce a softer hitting sensation, and when the nylon bristles are bundled together, they will produce a good slap sound, which is very suitable for many different drum types and percussion instruments. Compared with metal wire, the sound of nylon brush is warmer.

Bamboo Tie Rods

Percussion Bamboo Tie Rods

The bamboo tie rod is durable. Due to their hardness and light weight, they are very suitable for percussion instruments and drum kits. Compared with birch, bamboo is harder and more elastic.

There are the following 6 basic sounds of Brush

Top Sound: Strike the head of the drum with the tip of the brush and (softly) love the head of the drum.

Tap Sound: Use the front end of the brush to strike the drum head about an inch away from the drum head (heavier sound).

Flat Sound: Use the entire brush to strike the drumhead and stay on the drumhead (accent).

Rim Sound: Use Brush to strike the drum head and drum pressure ring at the same time (Rimshot sound).

Tip & Linear Sound: Use the tip of the brush to gently touch and sweep across the surface of the drum in a straight line (low sound).

Sweep Sound: The sound (rustling) made by the brush when brushing on the drum surface.

Every item works pretty good for the value. This would be more than $100 if it were the national brand. The wire brushes are durable and sound good. They pull back into the chamber a little far, I worry that they might get caught one day, so watch out there. The hot rods/sticks are well assembled with a rubber ring for durability. This is a versatile package at a great value.

The best piece in here is the pair of wire brushes; they're quiet and have great articulation. The nylon set is disappointing, soundling less like either of my ProMark nylon brushes and offering more of a clacky, clattery sound. The rutes, on the other hand, didn't sound all that distinctly different from each other no matter what I did with them. They sound okay, but I'm not sure why they have two pairs here because they're similar in a way that the brushes aren't. So one set of rutes is staying in this bag, one's going in my main bag, and I'm moving a pair of 5A and 7A sticks into the smaller bag so I have something small and light that travels easily (the case is actually pretty nicely done in its own right).

Seems like a nice little package with 4 options. I'm new to brushes so these should be good for beginner activities. The tie rods are good to have for softer attack. I'll be using them on a drum kit and not a cajon, but maybe it's time to go cajon shopping. The brushes sound good on my snare (only drum with a coated top at the moment) doing some basic intro exercises.

Really nice set. Brushes are nice and bamboo sticks sound great. Also comes with a great and compact carry bag. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice, and inexpensive, complete selection of "soft play" drum tools: Steel wire and nylon brushes, birch and bamboo bundled rods, and a little zippered stick bag. Most nylon brushes don't retract, but these do, which is cool. All the components are made quite well, but I haven't had them long enough to see how they will last, (especially the rods.)Any two of these components usually cost more than what this entire package costs, so it's a good deal. The stick bag is on the cheap side, but I see it and an "extra" anyway.Great set for students as well.
