Works really well. Not sure that I like that you need to plug the grip into the camera shutter release port, but I guess that's to be expected sue to the camera not really being designed for a grip.

If you buy this take some fine sand paper, I used 800 grit, and sand it so it looks like the canon flat black. Other than that it works great

Great grip for the SL1 and remote trigger works well. This combined with bigger batteries keeps me shooting all day. I highly recommend it for the price.

It actually wrecked my SL1's battery port by bending the plastic tab so far that it will no longer hold a battery by itself anymore. I'd like to say that it happened over time but thats not the case. The second thing i noticed was how touchy it was on how tight/loose it had to be to make connection to the camera, You cant over tighten it and you cant have it too loose, there's some weird spot right in the middle that it only works at. Also the cheap cord thing broke off inside of the battery pack, made the button un-useable afterwards.

The camera grip is great and it powers my camera properly, HOWEVER the shutter button doesn't work for me. I'm going on vacation in 3 days and do not have the time to return. So i guess i'm stuck with a semi-defective product.

the day after two units arrived, I shot over 300 photos in one camera, over 700 in the other. no problem. made the SL-1 much easier to live with, allowing for the extra grip area. A+++
