The little window does not close as expected after opening. Insects and other creatures can come inside the ceiling through the opening. Component parts were missing from the box such as one of the little window coverings and screws. I still need the covering.

Slightly modified it by wetsanding all of the plastic edges on and surrounding the flap to allow for easier swinging. Holding up well. We'll see how it does in the winter months.

Was able to design my laundry room anywhere in my home that I wanted with this type of vent. Only thing is sometimes the flap doesn’t shut after the dryer goes off and I have to push it closed to keep the insects out.

As with any plastic product, when you tighten the screws up it flexes a little, which pushes it out of shape slightly. This causes the vent door to not shut tight. Takes a few adjustments to get it to work well. It was used on a bathroom vent

I followed the instructions and found this very easy to install. It is plastic and visible under my eave, but thankfully the soffits are white. I'm sure this could be spray painted to camouflage it. One tip I'll share: Trace the opening onto your soffit, and make the hole another inch wider than that. Pull the duct through the opening and attach it to the vent. Then attach it to the soffit. My first time around I didn't cut the hole big enough and couldn't get the duct and clamp back through the hole and had to take it all apart and start over.

It could have been made a little heavier as it may not last long.
