would have given 5 stars, but they were late arriving - replacing deck that got wet - they do NOT respond to moisture well

I have been holding off buying these cards for ages as I was unsure on the price. However I should have brought them ages ago! They arrived in record timing and in amazing condition. When I opened the cards they were all sorted into levels and had to almost be pulled apart because they were so new and fresh. For game play they have made my life so much easier as they are so easy to read and have so much detail on them. Highly recommend for any new players to DND

Got these prior to the pandemic...While people were still regularly playing in person, these were great! Especially good for new players who have trouble remembering nuances of their spells. The cards are high quality and are very useful combined with a card sleeve notebook (like the kind collectible card gamers use). That way, the players can write notes on the sleeves or put some tape on it with notes.

These cards are so helpful if you're learning the game and you have one of the complex spell castors. If you get a little card holder and put only the ones your character 'knows' in it, even better! They are organized alphabetically by level. It would have been nice if they had symbols on the bottom indicating class, but if you have your players handbook open it wont be too hard to sort them. Those that are pro at the game wont need a players handbook. I sure did.The only problems with the cards and they're pretty mild: Be prepared as they stick together and because they are so thick, its hard to tell sometimes if something stuck or if its just the thickness of the card, also its hard at times to separate them without kinking the edges. When putting them in a card holder, be careful as you can cause the top layer to pull away if you get it caught just so - they're that thick. The last con is that they don't have class icons on them like the Xanathar's Guide to Everything spellcards. (Also an awesome buy btw). All that being said, yes, worth the money and I would buy again as well as recommend them to others!!

These cards are a great resource for those like myself who love to play arcane casters in D&D 5E. They have accurate descriptions of the spell's name, casting time, range, duration, and components, as well as a concise description of the effects ad scaling changes with the spell's level. Those with effect descriptions that exceed the size of the card give a reference to the Player's Handbook page that has the spell. They're easy to read and they look awesome, the designs on the back are so cool! Plus, they include blank cards and the cards are laminated, so you can write additional spells not in the standard Arcane deck on the blanks (e.g. my Warlock has the Book of Shadows and the Book of Ancient Secrets, so he knows a few Divine spells, and I didn't want to buy the whole Divine deck for a few spells.).I recommend buying the Xanathar's Guide to Everything set as well if you are playing a caster; there are loads of awesome spells in there too! (Roughly 1/3 of my Warlock's spell list is from XGtE)

I love these cards and am really happy with the quality. I really only needed the Wizard spells card but I don't see the downside to having the Warlock & Sorcerer cards for either future characters or for lending them to my family for their characters. Since they are laminated (love this specifically, excellent quality not cheaply done) they do stick together sometimes but for me that's not a problem cause it doesn't really bother me. I have card sleeves that I put all my current usable spells in which I then put in my character binder that way I have quick access to every card. The writing on the cards is easy to read, I like that it tells you with a small symbol whether they are ritual or concentration, at the top under the spell name it says what lvl and school it's from. I'm building my character around Evocation so that's really useful to me. Basically everything you want to know it tells you haha When you open the package they are organized by lvl and then alphabetically, I went through them and picked out all the Wizard spell cards. Took me a couple minutes no big deal. The back of the cards have a cool design and they tell you what lvl the card is and that's pretty much it. Highly recommend getting them, I got mine 3 days ago they came in a day early.*Side Note* I read the reviews before I bought mine and I know others have said they have found spelling mistakes or cards with mistakes on them but so far I have not run into that problem with mine, I haven't looked at every card in detail though so who knows.

While to some these might be unnecessary I've found them very useful not only for myself but my kids as well. With all the spell info right there in my hand I don't have to go digging through the books to double check the specific wording on a spell's effect. When I'm DMing our family game with our kids it's super easy for them to just hand me the card of the spell they want to cast. Really speeds up our game sessions. The quality of the cards is really amazing. They are pre-laminated (almost like card shaped pieces of plastic) so I don't feel like we need to stick them in card sleeves. If the kids spill something on them I don't think they will be effected at all. They are average card size so rather than buying the specialized 'spell card folio' you can just get some trading card sleeves for a 3 ring binder from any office supply store or here on amazon. This deck contains all spells from the PHB for Wizard, Warlock and sorcerer, lvls 0-9, From Acid Splash to Wish. 257 cards total. The box is two 'decks' side by side, each shrinkwraped. If they are not sealed then send them back as you could be missing cards. The box itself is not sealed, just the two halves of the deck. Spells are sorted first by spell level then alphabetically. Some might complain about 3 'blank' wizard cards, but pardon me if I say that those people need to actually read up on warlocks before they complain. They are for the 3 cantrips granted by the "Pact of the Tome" boon (phb p108). Because they don't need to be from the Arcane deck this means you can have cards for those spells without having to go buy the other spell decks. You could probably use a dry erase, wet erase, or extra fine tipped sharpie to then fill in the spell. Rather nice wouldn't you say?I highly recommend these to anyone who find themselves wanting something a bit more tangible to handle when dealing with their spells or for a DM who wants to speed up spell casting in their games. Useful tool, but not a necessity.Update: Did notice that at least Two of the spells have an error. Phantasmal Killer & Weird cards still says the Saving Throw is at the start of the turn not the end. The current (2018 w/corrections)PHB states this is at the End. I'm not sure if other spell text corrections have been made. The box has 2017, Version 3 on it so no clue why this hasn't been corrected. The polymorph spells don't state that it can't be used on a target with 0 HP either so the other reviewer who stated that these cards haven't been updated with the Errata update from 2015 looks to be correct.

This wizard purchased these cards to help replace his spellbook. And I tell you what, that was a purchase well spent! In this deck are cards with 5th edition D&D spells. The cards are built like a fairly standard set of playing cards; heavy cardstock with a protective wax coating. Each card tells the spell level, type, range, components, and any other important details. Better yet, there are blank spell cards for warlock or custom spell use. Gone are the days of having to write down your spells, or having to look them up in a book; simply just shuffle through your deck of cards and order them in whatever way is easiest for you. This wizard would definitely recommend to any D&D 5e player or DM.
