These strings have been used by many different famous players and have been endorsed de tension. Durability and play ability of these strings is excellent. Yes, he will sacrifice individual wrapping and perhaps find a hole in the plastic bag. It comes in, but as often as we change strings, the date codes have always been new and they just deliver the perfect five string sound for this tour

I've been using these for quite awhile now. These have a great feel and I love the tension. The 120 "B" string is so articulate and not floppy. Most of all the price is right. To the guys that keep saying they are breaking "G" strings I'd say it is something you're doing. In 4 years I have never had one break!

Make sure you put your strings on right and they will sound very bright and thumping heavy evenly. I play in a Metal band and I definitely like these for what I do. These are more affordable than DR Hi-Beams and I am just as satisfied. You can definitely slap clean with these.I play heavy and hard, Great for Death Metal or other extreme genres wanting more clank out of their sound.I play in Drop A# on a 4 string Ltd TA-600 35" Scale, and a C standard on a Epiphone Thunderbird 34" Scale, these have the right amount of tension and feel, not super tight and not loose, just perfect for my needs, whether you play with your fingers like me, or use a pick , you're gonna love these.I use these to play live and I use these in the studio. These strings will last a good while before they break, I've had them on another bass for over a year, before I started playing live and recording again, just take care of them and while and clean them after playing and the brightness will last longer. I do recommend let them settle and stretch for a day before recording, and they will stay in tune. I highly recommend Dunlop strings for any musician, they will have something that will suit your needs whether it's guitar or bass for metal music or rock, or any other genre they are the perfect string maker and they got you covered.

This is an edit to my review below. After this set I purchased a set of the strings I normally use and had the same issue. It wasn't the strings, it was ME. I guess I had a brain-fart and strung them up wrong. I'm changing my rating to 5 because the string that were properly strung sounded great. I will purchase again when I need new string.D and G strings sound great. The E sound a bit worn and the A is completely dead. The A has a really wierd sound that I can't describe. Many of the previous views are similar. I thought I'd give the a try for the price. You get what you pay for. In this case, poor quality control.

Excellent quality strings. They are indeed bright, but nothing you can't manage with the Treble pot. At the same time they actually have a very nice full and deep boom as well. I fell back in love with my bass guitar. The stainless steel feels softer to the touch and more grippy than my old nickel wound strings, which I consider a bonus. The color is more light blue-ish than the nickel wound strrings which in comparison have a more yellow-ish sheen. On my black bass this looks pretty cool. The low B string is not floppy, the E is solid and the A is my favorite. Great steady tone. The D and G are on the thin side but play very well, with a nice bright sound when popped.

This is my first experience with Dunlop strings and I'm very satisfied with the Super Bright Bass Steels. They have a very robust midrange presence that give the bass signal a fullness that can be heard and felt. Out of the box they had the typical metallic zing. When they started to age and loose that "zing", the sound stayed very bright and clear. In other words, they don't go completely dead after a few weeks. So it at least appears that the string life will be long. Finally, I LOVE the slightly looser tension of the string. Great for slapping, but not "floppy" or out of control. It's rare to get this kind of tension on a SS string. The strings are a little more "course" than smooth, which doesn't bother me. Others might find them a little rough if they are just starting out on bass. These strings were a good find.

These strings have comfortable loose feel, but don't have quite as full range a tone as the DR hi-beams. They seem to keep their brightness a little longer than most strings and have a good punch in the midrange. Good 'bite' but not aggressive sounding, on a brightness scale I rate them 8/10.
