I looked at Lo*** and H***D**** stores and found a few name-brand diagonal cutters at high prices and lower priced cutters that were poorly made. These looked good on Amazon and they have a great return policy so I tried them. They are superior to most of the others found in Big Box stores and better or equal to name brand tools. Extremely well sharpened with cutter edges that line up precisely, very well made. I will buy this brand of tools again and again. A+

Loses sharpness very fast, will not hold up to daily use. Less than a month and they are useless after using 2-3 times a week.

The wire cutters are just what I needed they fit comfortably in hand and cut nicely without having to squeeze the life out of them

Scratched up on arrival is pretty poor business, even if it is a tool that will inevitably get scratched.Metal barbs / deformation around the neck joint cause jamming when trying to open and close. Ultimately poor quality. You get what you pay for.

All in all for the price I am pretty happy with these but the "action" of the cutters was horrid out of the box, very stiff and almost not usable one handed. I ended up spraying in penetrating oil and working the jaws for a few minutes every couple hours for a day or so and a fair amount of black grime came out of the hinge joint which is probably from these not being abrasive tumbled after the black oxide coating was applied before assembling the tool. After the penetrating oil and breaking them in for a day randomly the cutters are mostly usable one handed unless I open them all the way too hard then it requires extra effort to close them again but i assume that will work itself out over time based on the main loosening that occurred. The handles are comfortable but a tad bulky if you are a person who shoves them in your back pocket like I do when working on cabling installs. Mostly I use them for low voltage installations but I have also cut some 14 gauge aluminum, copper, and steel rigid wire without issue. These are just as good, if not better, than a pair of greenlee side cutters that have a retail price twice as much as these but the exact same size and handle style. Not my first time giving duratech a try and won't be my last.
