I received the extra-long Durofix cordless ratchet packed well and with no damage. Unfortunately, the 1-star rating is due to a fundamental design flaw... the battery is permanently stuck into the bottom of the ratchet's battery compartment. It appears the, " squeeze-type locking tabs "... due not flex enough to release once inserted. I have pressed both sides of the battery very hard while pulling to release the battery, to no avail. I had my wife hold the ratchet while I repeated this step multiple times and still it we had no luck. It appears to be a design flaw. I shall return and order another unit of the same to be sure.

This is a lot bigger than I expected and the very powerful. I have broken free caliber bolts manually without issues and just zipped them off. Just to be clear this is not strong enough to just break free high torque fasteners with the motor. You want that you need an impact wrench this is a very strong helpful convenient tool that is quite beefy and well constructed.

A good solid cordless ratchet for part timers, weekend warriors and homeowners. Would be great for an apprentice mechanic/technician just starting out. It has the look and feel of a more expensive tool at a budget price. Enough power and speed for any job you could possibly expect it to do at home. Super nice bag. Let's face it, the Durofix isn't the quality of a Snap-On but the equivalent kit from the name brand costs about four times as much. I'll keep the Snappy in the shop for making money and this one at home where my wife can damage stuff with it.Only one complaint. The raised "Durofix" sticker on it is super cheesy. Paint the name on, use a real sticker or just get rid of it completely. Mine lasted all of about three minutes before going in the trash.A solid two thumbs up.

I am an amateur do-it-yourself mechanic. I am not a professional. I own 5 cars and perform 99% of the preventative and corrective maintenance on my vehicles myself. I own both the 1/4" and 3/8" extended reach Durofix ratchet wrenches. I have been using them for about 2 months. The ratchets are very comfortable and durable. Very solid tools, and I love the variable speed trigger. Excellent design. I also own several Ingersoll Rand and Milwaukee cordless tools, and the Durofix is a great compliment to my tool collection. Battery life is very acceptable. The ratchets do exactly what they are designed to do, when they are used properly as ratchet wrenches. I am very happy with both of these Durofix ratchet wrenches. Thank you.
