It attaches to any router that accepts a standard 1-1/4'' diameter guide bushing, and partially surrounds the bit to capture dust when flush trimming or routing decorative edge profiles. I love my Dust Right collection. Today I received the whirlwind router dust port and the Dust Right Edge dust collection port. The whirlwind port was a breeze to install on my DeWalt DW618 medium size router. Although I couldn’t use the original base plate’s mounting screws (short round head), I ran down to the local hardware store and picked up some standard 8-32 flat head screws the proper length. I then put the guide bushings insert on the bottom so I could use the base centering cone that came with the router to perfectly center the new Dust Right whirlwind base (the whirlwind base has a hole too large to use the center guide cone). As long as I had the guide bushing insert installed, I installed the Dust Right edge dust port and found it too was easy to install and fit perfectly.Next I put a new base on my DeWalt DWC600 compact router using the standard base screws so I can use standard guide bushings. Once I got the new base plate perfectly centered using the centering cone, it was a simple task to mount the edge guide dust port.
