Great OEM replacement part and it comes with keys!!! But the original key still works with this ignition!

It felt as if the key couldn't turn far enough to actually start the tractor, and it only powered the tractor if it was in between run and turn over, which required me to hold it in that spot to allow it to keep running. If I let go, it would snap to the "running" position, but the tractor would shut off, as if the key was turned to off.This ignition wasn't tested...

It installed easily enough. SIlly installer left the key on, and the battery was drained. I got the battery going again. Works great. I cover it when the tractor is left outside, as the machine is built for the weather.A bit of oil now and then in the switch may help, I use lithium grease as it lasts longer than silicone. I always wear gloves so the grease doesn't stain my hands. Just a little bit and it shouldn't stain the machine or your clothes.Good product. Hotwiring the tractor was annoying. This is much safer. Was surprised how easy to install it was. The included securing ring did not fit so I had to find another, but that was no big deal. Have to drop a star for that, as the included ring was about a milimeter too short to grab on properly. That added about a few extra minutes to the install. The wires matched right up though.I ordered the one with no headlight switch, but somehow received that one anyway. No big deal. I like to keep the headlights on a separate switch on most of my equipment. To each their own. Good product. It's almost a direct replacement actually. Just don't leave it out in the rain. My previous one locked up after only two weeks outside, but it was several years old.

The male blade style pins in the back of the the replacement switch are not spaced correctly to align with the John Deere female plug assembly coming from the main wiring harness. Sadly I've waited to long to return this and I'm stuck with it.

terminal were bent and misaligned after straight and then them out switch seems to be working okay little disappointed in the manufacturer not so much the seller
