This is a great accessory for any drummer's floor tom. It essentially gives you the ability to control the sustain of the floor tom, going from regular sustain to more thump and less sustain. The more contact the metal leg has with the floor, the less sustain and more attack, which is a more sought after sound for many kinds of types of music. The best part: if you play a wide variety of music, you can have a variety of sounds at your finger tips, because it's very easy to adjust with just a drum key.
