I like this set, it includes every single variety of expanding tool on the market for a very reasonable price. Their primary purpose is for struts with pinch bolts, but there's also some cars out there that use a similar pinch bolt setup for retaining the ball joint to the steering knuckle. As long as you're afforded a gap of 0.2 inches or more, one of these tools is bound to work. If course a lot of people like to just use a chisel to spread the two sides apart, and I've been doing that myself for years, but 1. a wedge shaped tool often doesn't want to stay in place and 2. there's a lot more risk of breaking steering knuckles this way, and I've seen it happen before. That's not a mistake that's cheap or easy to fix, as some knuckles are extremely rare and can only be had on the used market. So do yourself a favor and buy a set of these. The expanders themselves are reasonably well made, at least well enough for the job. The large black expander is by far the most durable in terms of design, and my favorite of the set. The inclusion of the 10mm ratcheting wrench is pretty silly in my opinion; it's cheaply made and redundant for anyone buying tools like this.
