My renewed obsession with embroidery and cross stitch means I had a bunch of floss to organize, but I don't want to card them on plastic. It's unnecessary and wasteful to me. These are sturdy enough to do the job well and easier to write on too. They are *very slightly* smaller than the DMC cardboard ones, but a great choice of you know you're going to need a lot of them. I store my floss by color on 3" metal rings and then use a smaller 2" ring to store groups together for projects. I keep them all in a show box together and my extra cards are right in with them if I need them!

The standard sized DMC bobbins are 1 1/2” wide by 1 5/8” tall with a 3/8” slit to tuck the thread into. These bobbins are 1 3/8 wide by 1/5/8” tall and 1/4” slit. It may not seem like a lot, but these just don’t fit a standard skein of 6-stranded cotton that well, particularly the thread slit. Not worth the cost.

I hate dealing with plastic bobbins and flimsy paper bobbins that tear easily. These paper bobbins are made of a thick paper that met me needs. I was a little worried about the thinner size (see pic) but a full skein of DMC floss fit perfectly.

In comparison to my other bobbins, these are smaller in size and thinner. I need to double up the bobbins to make them sturdy.

Half the time the slot ends tore. Not a good look for a purchased cross stitch kit. I don't usually like the plastic bc the slots are too wide. But these were FAR TOO THIN to use over and over again on a project. Don't waste your money

I prefer paper bobbins to plastic ones, so there were perfect. Took a bit long to arrive, but otherwise just as advertised.
